Not Gross.: All Vegan and Mostly Raw Recipes for People Who Love to Eat Review: She is so funny and light hearted too - I am so excited for this book!!! YOU should totally buy this baby!! My family LOVES to watch Laura Miller's youtube videos and try her recipes. She is so funny and light hearted too. She makes things so easy and well...not gross!! I was strictly a meat and potatoes guy before. The only vegetables I would east prior to this book were baby carrots, potatoes and canned corn. My wife is a vegetarian so she eats lots of fruits and veggies and so do my kids who are six, two and 10 months. I bought the book and have eaten so many things that I wouldn't have before. The book has lots of recipes in it that are versatile for your whole family. WE ALL eat the recipes in here. I think one of the main reasons that these recipes are so easy is that she tells you how to make them with or without a dehydrator. She isn't bound by the rules of raw eating. She knows that it is very restrictive to be completely raw all of the time. There are a mix of recipes in here from normal SAD foods that have been made over into a healthier version (pancakes and crepes for example) to things that are not so normal for most people, but are still very tasty!! I love that she makes things so simple. My six year old keeps talking about his new raw food diet and his vegan, BUT NOT GROSS food. He's never been quite so excited to eat all these vegetables and fruits before. We are having a hard time keeping him out of the kitchen and out of the book.....not that that is a bad thing. I recommend this book for any level of raw food...from those who have never heard of it and are curious to those who have been doing it for a while. There is something for everyone. Review: Laura Miller steals the show with unique approach to food - I don't label myself as "Vegan." I just tend to eat more veggies than meat so I'm always on the look out for good recipes involving veggies. Laura Miller steals the show with unique approach to food. I found her on Tastemade a couple years ago, doing a cooking show. Each episode was about 10 minutes (let the binge watching ensue), and here was this woman, who was genuinely EXCITED about food, totally goofy and being herself. She was not putting on a show like you would see on any cooking show on Food Network. She was just so relatable and that was refreshing. I just wanted to her hug and say thank you. The first episode I saw was how to make chocolate avocado pudding. I was entralled---I'm lactose intolerent as of recently (3 years running) and I know what pudding tastes like. I was longing for some semblence of my comfort dessert and she hit the nail on the head with this. She recently had a book signing in my town, and I got to meet this wonderful human being. She's introverted, all smiles and again, so relatable. She and her recipes just reflect the emodiment of goodness and how food can open up so many doors to feeling like your best self. I just made the cauliflower pizza and chocolate shake last night (which if you ate "normal" pizza and a chocolate shake you'd probably feel terrible and bloated, or in my case, like death, because of the dairy), and both were just SO great. The shake was dedcadent, and it was such a relief to have something so familiar, sans dairy, and know my body wouldn't try to kill me later. Even if you aren't vegan, you will enjoy her recipes. They are filling and so packed with nutrients that you won't ever have to worry about feeling guilty eating them. She's all about eating food that is good, and helping you understand how it makes you feel good. That's it. So simple.

Laura Miller steals the show with unique approach to food
I don't label myself as "Vegan." I just tend to eat more veggies than meat so I'm always on the look out for good recipes involving veggies. Laura Miller steals the show with unique approach to food. This cookbook will not only make your body feel good but your heart too.
Best cookbook ever. So good that I feel the need to write this review the day this cookbook landed on my doorstep. It's all I can do to put this baby down. I want to cook every, single recipe in it right now. It's filled with a wealth of knowledge put in an easy to read fun and relatable format. Complete with equipment suggestions, pantry list, lots of suggestions for ailments and tons of amazingly awesome recipes. I started watching Laura miller through my tastemade app and love her recipes that aren't overly complicated and energy draining coupled with her great sense of humor. Finally a simple, loving cookbook for those of us that like to feel good. Thanks Laura!!!

This cookbook is awesome! This book is for all you who are ...
This cookbook is awesome! This book is for all you who are not blessed with cooking skills and don't have the time to relearn how to cook. Some recipes are missing ingredients on the ingredient list, and you don't realize it until you're reading the instructions. However, I feel like this is a little bit of freedom and takes the pressure off. I love how I've substituted ingredients and the recipe still turns out amazing!!! Plus if you're an OCD baker/cook you'll read the instructions before hand and have it perfectly made. One substitute I made was pears for apples in her donuts recipe and made it into a bundt cake instead of donuts. SOOOOOOO GOOOOD, also the tomato salad is delicious. It's all delicious and my kids love it!!!! Thank You Laura!!!!

Love the Show...REALLY Love the Book
Laura Miller has such a fun personality and approach to cooking. We've only been eating vegan for two years now, The health benefits are well worth the effort, as we enjoy food in a whole new way. The vegan options at the vast majority of restaurants often leave us ordering soup or salad, but thanks to the creative efforts of Laura and others, we entertain and eat pretty darn good at home. Our latest from "Raw. Vegan. Not Gross." was a Valentines Day meal with Spaghetti Squash Mac & Cheese and Spring Rolls. Absolutely delicious! The dipping sauce for the Spring Rolls is the best! Watch the show. Get the book. Soon enough you'll discover the worst thing about eating vegan is the way people look at you when you have to say it.

Laura is one of the people I primarily recognized on youtube who brought raw vegan food onto the table. Her videos in collaboration with Tastemade- category: Raw.Vegan. Not Gross were so inspiring and refreshing. Likewise, she really encouraged me to test out other types of recipes and to integrate more fresh, uncooked fruits and vegetables into my diet. She inspires to test out even more techniques which can be supported also by this book. It can bee seen as a good recommendation also for vegetarians or part-time vegans, like myself. And of course for people who avoid soy products. One thing that shouldn't be missing in a kitchen (just in case you want to use this cookbook properly) is a food processor or at least a mixer. Also be prepared to use your oven on a low heat. Laura always mentions that a dehydrator is not necessarily essential, especially not for beginners. Both fruit pictures and several new recipes for breakfast, salad, on the go, lunch, dinner and dessert made it into the book. Not to mention the distinguished cauliflower pizza, the stunning chocolate avocado pudding, one of my favourites from the show and her famous vegan ranch. I was so looking forward to the release to purchase this book right after it came out in Europe. The most impressing detail in Lauras work is that she's never wagging her finger but wraps her recipes and tips in her humourous and congenial manner. Altogether and to put it bluntly: Good job, Laura!
