This case is perfect for what I need. It is strong enough and well made. It is not an all aluminum case. It has an aluminum skeleton with reinforced metal corners. The sides are made from a heavy duty cardboard with an ABS plastic textured sheet on top. The hinges are OK. The latches are not that tight while closed so I lock them with the keys provided just to be sure the case stays closed when carrying it around. These latches would be easy to break to get inside so if you need something with sturdy locks and hard to break into, this is not it. For me I just wanted a nice looking case that was just large enough for my stuff and keep it from moving when carrying. I will not be opening it much. The inside has a top foam piece with bumps. The bottom has two foam pieces about 1.4 " thick. You can use one piece as protection at the bottom of the case and cut through the second piece to frame and hold your stuff. They make the foam very easy to shape your cuts. This is much better than the smaller plastic containers I was using. The case is very light weight. The price is probably on the high side, but the size, look and function was perfect.

This case is great if just using it to store some nice equipment but not expecting the locks to keep someone out. The locks can easily be broken into and the case isn't heavy duty enough to protect your stuff from a hard fall. It does have nice thick padding that will protect your stuff if you were walking and dropped it or if it fell off of a table it'd probably hold up well for that. But it does seem a hard fall would break this case. I bought it to house my tattoo pens and it does that well and I like the locks so that it doesn't accidentally open and drop my stuff onto the ground but it won't keep anyone out that is determined to get in and the metal on the outside is very thin so a hard fall will most likely bust this case and break it open. So just know what you're buying and this is great for the aforementioned reasons.
