FZ53-BL Point and Shoot Digital Camera with 2.7" LCD, Blue

Bought this as a gift for 12 year old. He loves it, it takes great pictures. It has several shooting functions and he is enjoying trying them all out. Takes great, clear pictures from very close to across a big room with excellent detail. They are nice, can use for videos and also has timer function so he can get in the pictures he is taking. Not a toy camera it is great quality, just what we wanted. Small enough to be easily portable, fits in a pocket but we did get him a carrying case. The battery life is good, but I think I am going to get him a backup battery so he has one charged while he is using one and therefore never runs out of power. I would highly recommend.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the pictures taken by this camera are. It takes a bit of reading, but once you do this camera is actually quite easy to use. The battery life is also pretty nice. It took 61 pictures at full 16M, plus a four minutes 720p video to get the battery indicator to move to half. Much better battery life than AA batteries would give, for sure. The only drawback that I've found is that it is a little small for my hands. It would be nice if it was just a little bigger.

This camera is very small and has many modes and features that weren't too difficult to learn. By default, the picture quality was set to low, so many of my first pictures didn't come out so great. As soon as i set it to the max number of pixels, the picture quality was fine. I have noticed that i don't get the best quality when using zoom or when photographing objects at a distance. This camera does best when photographing up close, maybe 1 to 3 feet. The fill flash is a nice feature, i have used that often to add a little more pop to my photos.

Brought as a Christmas present, works great!

It worked great until it stopped working all together in the middle of taking pictures and it just stop taking pictures. It sucks because it actually took nice photos. I didn't think to get insurance because it is a trusty Kodak camera but unfortunately this one did not last.

Had to replace another camera that broke. Camera is great small but hard to find batteries went to a battery store that specialize in batteries only and no problem. Forget about Best Buy or one of those type nothing available. Also noticed when put a chip in from another camera to check the pictures would not show up? But if use the same chip and take Pictures with no problem not sure why that happens. I think this camera is no longer made but for my use cost was good and pictures are great when taken with this camera.

Don't waste your money on this camera... I purchased one of these for my daughter, for her to use at her job taking photos for the local antique store (she needs something small and lightweight)... When it arrived she made sure the battery was charged, and once that was done, that everything was installed correctly... She took it around the house taking photos of various items to test the image quality before taking it to use at work, and it was some of the worst quality we have ever seen... The photos were grainy as could be when installed on her computer. (It should probably be noted that my daughter is no stranger to operating digital cameras similar to this.)... She tried every setting combination possible, and still couldn't get an image good enough to be able to use for her job... The camera screen would sometimes make the image shake as if in an earthquake, and it was difficult to get it to stop once it started... The flash wasn't always activating, though it was turned on (and a reliable flash is needed, as the lighting in the antique store isn't the best)... Also, if you activated the macro setting, it wouldn't allow the flash to be used. (She's never had a camera that did that stupidity.)... To top that off, if you activated the image stabilization mode it wouldn't let the flash be on... She booted it up this morning (thinking she would give it another chance), and the battery was less than half charged from just sitting (she'd checked the charge when she was done testing it yesterday, and it was still fully charged according to the camera)... Also, it apparently doesn't have its own software, as it was installing the photos using software she already has (she has to select it, as no option for the camera itself came up.)... It was the worst camera we've ever had, and we're in the process of returning it.

This red Kodak PixPro digital camera is so cool ~ I love it! Perfect size, charges up quickly and takes excellent pictures. I have limited photography skills and this camera is not a bit intimidating ~ I feel confident using it and I'm getting great picture results [the manual is very clear and helpful]. I am VERY pleased with this Kodak digital camera ~ I highly recommend it !

very good. but don't know why it creates one extra file (in addition to the video file) on the sd card for every video you take.... don't know the benefit of these extra files and don't know how to stop it from creating these files. just extra junk have to manually delete from memo.

La cámara dejó de funcionar tras un mes de uso. La empresa a la que se la compré (Cstore a través de Amazon) me deriva a usar la garantia del fabricante. No hay manera de contactar con Kodak y con Ámazon me está siendo imposible ponerme en contacto.

My wife had lost her camera so I bought this little jewel to replace it. Unfortunately she really misses the memory card that was in her lost camera... I couldn't do much about that...

This camera is easy and simple to use good for beginners and people that are not tech minded the buttons are simple and it has all the modes and there are not too many features or operations it charges via usb and dose not come with adapter this isn’t 1st kodax and I would recommend good for disabled people or anyone with dextity issues
