Does work, in direct, even oblique light. Turns slowly on a bright day even when not directly illuminated. Not very effective as the fan, though turning well has no shroud so most of the air in it is just stirred inside the unit rather than ejected. I made a card shroud, and put in a small drain hole for any water that gets in the body. I was only using it to change the air in a container slowly, it should do that, but it won't cool you down much.

This ventilator is easy to install, runs very quietly and works very well. Since it is solar, no wiring is needed. The air flow is constant from early light to sunset.

Doesnt move a lot of air in a hurry but is constantly and accumulatively doing its job. Not very attractive in my installation but I think I can spray paint it a better color.

I am using this "vent" in a 4'x4' outhouse. The unit can't begin to vent this space. I installed it exactly like the instructions and it pulls very little air even when the sun is shining bright on the unit. I won't bother buying this again for my other buildings.

It does not move very much air. Did work, just hard to tell any air movement difference. Left me needing more airflow.

they move some air. they do not move enough to cool much but if you just want some air movement to stop build up of fumes etc, this works I use it in a battery compartment where I don't want battery fumes to linger and a musty storage area just to keep a little fresh air moving around. Obviously only works when the sun is shining on it.
