After seeing these jars used several times for sourdough starters on social media I was officially influenced! After using several jars for my starters and they don't compare to these. The width of the jars is soooooo awesome and makes feeding my starter so easy. They are pretty solid and not dainty which is great. I think they are a bit pricier than a basic jar but that's fine because these aren't basic and I'm sure I'll use them for years to come.

I love these, I have several, and can't seem to buy enough. They are the best sourdough starter jars I have ever used. You can't beat the WECK quality - it is just the gold standard! And I love that they do not have a lip around the rim of the jar - it makes mixing starter (and other things) and cleaning them very easy. If you are on the fence, you need them!

The first thing you feel when you touch these is the quality. These are durable, hefty, yet easy to manage jars. I love the shape, size, and usability. Easy to clean, easy to use again and again. Food has maintained freshness as well as starter.

These are the perfect size for sourdough starter for two loaves, holds approx 300gm starter PLUS peak without overflowing. I love the option to seal with the rubber gasket and clips but usually use them without. Clean up is a breeze!

4 star for the simple fact the jar is great. was expecting a little stronger glass it took a slight fall cracked everywhere and lid shattered. still would buy again. it did its job on the sour dough stater. clean up was a breeze

Good quality jar. Bought them with the intent to use for sourdough starters. These turn out to be larger than expected. I was surprised that the items were not wrapped with protection. One of the lids had a small chip but that did not impact the useability.

Love these for keeping my sourdough starter. Easy to spatula the right amount out and easy to clean. Tall enough even a double batch of starter (I use 50g:100g:100g for a single batch) won’t spill over. I never use the gaskets or clips so I can’t speak to those. But if you are looking to ease your sourdough routine, these work very well.

I bought this jar for my sourdough starter because I was having a hard time maintaining it in a mason jar. What a difference this wide-mouth jar has made! So easy to discard and feed my starter now! I gifted one to my brother-in-law and he loves it too.
