love the series ofbooks. Only had one issue with another book we returned on grief- too religious. Well written and illustrated. Just enough chuckles to make it cute and educational . Love the author is local too!

Our family discovered Steve Herman books a year ago when my youngest started having some small issues with attitude in Kindergarten. We started with Train Your Angry Dragon and it was instant love. We quickly ordered Train Your Dragon To Accept No and most recently ordered this title. The gentle yet consistent message is clear throughout all of Mr. Herman's books.. mindfulness, kindness, having strong morals and being understanding with your childrens emotions are key when raising a gentle soul. These books are perfect for my quirky little one. Not only do they relay the message of their titles clearly and in fun and -relatable- manner, but they also teach children to hold themselves to higher standards and to value their emotional little selves. We are by no means a "gentle parenting" household, however, my youngest is much softer and quirkier than my other boy and requires a different approach. These books are really amazing and we intend to eventually have quite the collection of them. One last cool thing is that the authors emails always have great messages, stories, freebies, coloring books, sneak peaks and offer amazing insider deals to his kindle versions. Highly highly recommend if you too are raising a gentle soul!

My daughter loves these books. Each one teaches a valuable lesson. Some of the lessons do overlap, but, for the most part, they're fun and engaging. Over time, I will probably end up purchasing the entire series of dragon books, picking up a few as gifts for each birthday and Christmas.
