Google Pixel 4a Smartphone, 128GB Storage & Unlocked Cellular - Just Black (Renewed)

Google's Pixel 4a was precisely what I needed. For complex reasons, I needed a smart phone that could handle apps that my older, cheaper smart phone couldn't access. Most of the phones that had this higher capacity were $400+. But then I found this "renewed" phone. It's fast, it's innovative. It's a bargain, and it looks brand new and performs like new. The only problem I had was receiving the phone. It was delivered by UPS but, unfortunately, it wasn't delivered to me. The photo showed the package outside someone else's dwelling. This was not the seller's fault, of course. When I went on line, UPS's menu said it was delivered. The menu did not allow me to write that it wasn't delivered to me. The next day, I saw a parked UPS delivery van, and I stopped and talked to its driver. I explained my problem, and he took down all my information. On the following day, I received the phone at around 6:00 p.m. I want to stress that the seller was helpful throughout this period. I would recommend SoonerSoft Electronics to all my friends.

Looking for a phone that wasn't super pricy. I did some research, found the phone I wanted. I'm an old-fashioned and no-nonsense kind of person so I didn't want a new phone that was gonna half in value 3 months into using it. Amazon's easy returns gave me piece of mind, but my main concern was the battery. I waited a little bit to write a review so I can say the battery is still going strong. It stands up well to the Moto 5G UW Ace I had before, which is supposed to have a pretty impressive battery. The only complaint I have is that for some reason it keeps restarting when I put it in my pocket. That could just be some impressive butt-dialing, though. It hasn't caused any issues except having to put in my password instead of opening with fingerprint. No scratches, looked like new, acts like new. It picked up my Verizon sim card seamlessly, and transferred apps, pictures, everything from the old phone over google. The whole transfer process took 15 minutes to set up and then less than an hour to download everything. Good job Amazon! Helped this part-time teen buy themselves something shiny.

Its over all cosmetic condition is quite poor. I paid extra and picked the "excellent condition/refurbished" version of the three available tiers. There is nothing the seller could have refurbish, as the phone is glued shut, but I did expect at least a nice looking one, with the promised type of charged, cable, SIM tool and UNLOCKED! The phone is carrier unlocked only, not OEM unlocked, so I can not install a custom ROM. It's a Christmas present, so returning is a not a good option time wise. I'll put it in a nice Otterbox case, but not happy at all. Took two new photos 75 days out of 90 days warranty for the "excellent" refurbished phone, when returning it. Two sides of the screen open 5 mm (1/5"). The cell was only kept together by the phone case. UPDATE 4-17-23: Phone returned to the seller 5 weeks ago, but they did not mark it as received for Amazon. Had to contact Amazon customer service to get the refund. Luckily UPS had provided me their record of delivery. REALLY avoid the seller thegadgetdeals

I love this compact phone. The battery could last most of the day, even after 11 months of use, and I really appreciated the crisp display. The computer-enhanced 12MP camera punched above its weight. I also extensively used the convenient Google Recorder app, which is unfortunately exclusive to Pixel phones. After owning the phone for 11 months, the screen digitizer finally broke one time I dropped the phone. I would buy a refurbished Pixel again.

I buy my OWN phones, and so I do not get locked into contracts. I was a Moto fan until I found it won't work with G-pay. LOVE Pixel 4a 5G because I never ever complain about it and never wish it had some feature it doesn't. One year after buying renewed it's battery still lasts more than 24 hours. Fast charging works only with the original charger supplied so be sure you get the white plug in wall charger, if you use a regular USB charger it takes a lot longer to reach full charge. Great camera with lots of edit options. Also, here in AZ summer the phone has to keep out of sunlight, because the data and text service will not operate correctly and you'll get a warning right before the phone shuts off. As to provider service, I switched to Google Fi cell service and never have issues like I did with consumer cellular and cricket, etc. I decided that I had perfection with this older model. I do recommend getting a heavy duty case and use a screen protector glass also.

I probably picked this phone more for its good third party support than its first-party features, however, it should definitely be noted that the stock OS setup is pretty clean for the most part. Unlike many that ship with tons of extras that eat battery, steal data (seriously tired of phones shipping with FB/FB Messenger apps pre-installed in the ROM,) or cause conflicts (Samsung...) it's not a huge amount more than a clean setup beyond, obviously, the Google apps themselves. However, what I really like is that as a mainline device it's extremely well supported by third parties, including well maintained LineageOS builds. (As I'm coming from a phone that has a huge unpatched exploit that allows remote code execution with just the phone number I especially appreciate how frequent security patches can occur this way.) Of course, as the 5G model of the 4a, it also has 5G support in addition to well supported VoLTE (so we can make calls on either network with this phone thank goodness.) As a side note, it seems Verizon in particular had vendor-locked models made. These are treated as "unlocked" by sellers because they've been (mostly) SIM unlocked to work on all carriers once their initial service period was up, however, they're not really truly unlocked and can have issues in some cases with international calls and of course the bootloader can't be unlocked because, well, Verizon. If you need a fully unlocked model, it seems it's best to attempt to contact the seller before buying, though not all sellers can make any guarantees.

Hi, review doomscrollers! I'm the guy who used Moto G Stylus for about two years, and even replaced one when the first one got smashed (my fault) ... But then took a chance on this phone as the replacement after the second Moto G Stylus battery started showing fatigue and wearing down quickly between charges ... I really wanted a Nokia G20, but because I have Verizon, that's not an option. So, I will first tell the one thing I don't like about this phone: It doesn't have built-in "shake to turn on flashlight" like the Moto phones, and the 3rd party apps for this feature don't work well. That's it. One issue total. The good stuff: It's much lighter than the Moto phones. It's also slightly smaller, but I accept this as I was always annoyed by the heaviness of the Moto G in my pocket anyway. This Nexus phone is delightfully wieldy, just hefty enough to not fly out of my hand. Subjectively, battery life is juuuuuuuust fine ... I'm not a nerd, I don't do bench tests, you can research on your own ... But it gets charged, stays charged, not a huge issue for my everyday use when I'm never more than a few hours away from a charging opportunity. There's no layer of Moto bloatware (special Moto sound settings, etc etc) so this is a leaner Android OS experience, in my opinion ... You just get the basic Android experience. The only downside to this sweet, sweet simplicity is the lack of a "shake for flashlight" feature, but I'm happy to just fumble around in the dark (or use the onscreen button) in exchange for the simplicity this phone gives me. It starts up faster, it doesn't have annoying uninstallable Moto apps that I don't want, etc. etc. so instead I am just getting the pure Android 11 experience. The cameras work great. I'm including a snapshot of the sunset over the Barcelona shipping terminal ... My standards for phone cameras aren't super high, but I'm plenty happy with this usable, solidly decent camera for everyday use. It doesn't feel like a downgrade from the Moto camera from the same price range. I don't think I'm going back to Moto phones after this. I'll keep an eye on the Nexus phones instead, and when I need a new phone (unless the Nokia G20 starts working with Verizon) I'll shop for something Nexus as my starting point. Very happy with this phone.

This is my very first Pixel device and so far, it's amazing. I just swapped out my Motorola one 5G Ace, a 90 day old phone, for this one for numerous reasons, including lack of support, software and security updates. With the Pixel on my Google Fi account, those issues no longer exist. Right out of the box, the 4a came with Android 12 and updated to the May 2022 security patch and the most recent Android 12 OTA updates. It now runs the SP2A.220505.002 build. Now for the murky stuff and defining what "refurbished" means for this phone and I'm going to do my best to remain unbiased to a point. Everything works without flaw. That is the most important factor. However... on my device, I believe the display had to be replaced and when it was, it was replaced with what happened to be the cheapest screen available and it's obvious. This display makes whites cast with a slight yellowish hue or a warm tone and white icons have a halo effect on them indicating display bleed. There are color correction apps in the Google Play store to help remedy that, but most of them don't integrate well with Pixel themes. As to screen protection, The Pixel 4a 5G, when bought new, comes with Gorilla Glass 3. I don't think this replacement screen has that. You'll note from several photos that I have uploaded that there are some tell-tale scratches already on the surface of the display. It hasn't been in any pockets, hasn't gone anywhere with me except to my desk, where I would just sit and tinker with it. Something may have gotten onto one of my microfiber cloths while wiping it down and scratched it, so just be aware that I HIGHLY recommend a screen protector of decent quality to use with this device. I've got a few coming in the mail today that I will apply before the phone even sees the inside of a pocket. You do get a USB C cable and the refurbishing companies own personally monogrammed charging brick for the device in the box. I have 4 port USB charging hubs that I use. That's just a preference. In summary, I think it's a great device. Hands down. I think the refurbishing company did a great job breathing new life into the device. HOWEVER, at some point, I may venture into purchasing a quality screen and installing it myself. I understand the concept of a business wanting to make a profit, but cutting corners at this level really depreciate the experience and immersion of a quality device such as the Pixel 4a 5G to the user. Update: Merely a day later after this review, the SIM card reader on the phone just randomly stopped working and would not read the sim. I lost my data, calls and sms without so much as a warning. Needless to say, it's on it's way back to Celltraders.

Vorsicht: Akku hält nicht, was versprochen wird Ich habe das Google Pixel 4a 5G (Renewed) gekauft und bin extrem enttäuscht. Obwohl das Gerät als "renewed" verkauft wurde, lässt die Akkuleistung massiv zu wünschen übrig. Bereits nach nur drei Monaten normaler Nutzung bricht die Leistung drastisch ein – das Gerät muss ständig ans Ladekabel. Für ein Smartphone, das ursprünglich 2020 auf den Markt kam, ist dieser schnelle Verschleiß bei einem angeblich geprüften Akku inakzeptabel. Wer ein zuverlässiges Alltagsgerät sucht, sollte hier nicht zugreifen, da man sonst schnell ein Telefon hat, das nur noch am Stromnetz funktioniert. Die Ersparnis beim Kauf wird durch die sofort fällige Notwendigkeit eines Akkuwechsels oder eines Neugeräts zunichte gemacht. Das größte Problem bei der Sache ist (und das weiß der Verkäufer), dass der Akku erst nach ein paar Monaten schlecht wird was natürlich deutlich außerhalb des Widerrufszeitraums ist. Nur nach Absprache mit Amazon läuft jetzt bei mir ein Garantiefall (ich werde die Summe von Amazon selbst erstattet bekommen).

I bought rhis to have helping apps gor my autistic son on, he's used it now daily for 3 years with absolutely no issues, it's held up against some rough handling and getting covered in gunk, absolutely can't fault it 👍🏻

Todo lo bueno de un pixel a un bajo precio, la pantalla casi sin orilla es muy linda. Suficiente para alguien que necesita un buen celular, una buena cámara, el único problema es la bateria que dura solo un día con uso ligero; No es algo que me moleste porque prefiero su tamaño, prefiero los celulares que son cómodos de usar a una mano. La pantalla no da mucho brillo pero es de my buena calidad. OLED y así. Es un celular que no temo perder por el precio puedes comprar otro para igual. Premium desechable?

Ein super kleines Smartphone. Es ist aber kein Google Pixel 4a 5G nur ein normales 4a. Aber das macht nichts .Es ist wirklich in einem sehr guten Zustand. Es muss nicht immer das neuste und teuerste Smartphone sein. Ich kann es weiter empfehlen.
