The bendy part of the arm can only just cope with the 12.9 iPad if the (fairly sturdy) case is on, it tends to sag a little - however, this is easily resolved by using the phone holder to prop it up. Overall, I'm really impressed - it's going to be really useful for using the iPad as a second screen because the height is so adjustable; it's also good for watching tutorial videos whilst working at the computer. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. My only tiny issue is that the springs are very strong and if you have a large phone it’s a struggle to get it in. The tablet spring will push into any case you have it in. They don’t appear to be a strong they are damaging anything.
