I departed from the usual brand of smoker I've use for 40 yrs. but after the first use, I think this one may be better than what I've used in the past. The grate area is larger than I expected. The barrel compartment holds the heat at a consistent temperature and far better than my last smoker. I noticed during the initial heat tempering it held a consistent temp. On my first use I used less charcoal to get to and maintain the desired temp. Steaks turned out perfect with less oversight and management, I think due to the steady temp. I do a lot of grilling. I don't know yet about the long term function of this brand or this particular model but after first use I'm very pleased with the purchase of this smoker. Update : 2nd use .... very pleased with this smoker. It holds a consistent temp level for extended periods of time without the need to monitor the amount of wood or charcoal. Update : After grilling steaks, chicken, 'burgers, and smoking a 17 lb brisket, I'm still amazed at how this smoker holds a consistent temp. I don't know if it's the brand, the particular model, or I just got lucky and this one fits together better than most, but it does a great job. I can't say for others but for me, price and performance make this a bargain.

This grill works well and has lots of space. It cooks evenly and is easy to use.I am happy with my purchase.

Really good deal. Large. Deep cooking area. It is lightweight. Really need to cure it well. Put you something extra in the bottom for a heat shield. Paint came off in a few uses. Not bad for the money. A little tedious to assemble alone.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas! First this thing is amazingly large in size it feeds our family of 10 with easy! Heats well so far and we like the design. My husband said it could be more sturdy but as long as you don't plan on moving around constantly it holds up well!

Grill arrived in a large box and was "all assembly required". We finally put it all together and noticed that several of the welds on the barrel sections were very poorly done with several of the small spot welds already broken. Metal is extremely thin and cheap. With this design a flat large tray the length of the barrel holds all of the charcoal and ash. This would allow for even cooking along the length of the grill. Unfortunately the design puts all of the weight of this tray and charcoal on two small little dinky clips...with three tiny spot welds holding them in place. Our grill arrived with two of these welds already broken. Broken just from being shipped. There is no way that these bad welds would actually hold all this weight for any length of time, especially after being subjected to hours of heat while in use. I called the manufacturer and informed that it would take MONTHS to receive a replacement part. MONTHS. I was advised to go through Amazon and exchange it...instead I am requesting a full refund. Bad design, bad construction, shoddy welds. Buyer beware. You do NOT want to buy this grill.

Fabulous grill. I put together in on hour by myself . Cooks like any smoker grill. I add chips and favors meat wonderfully

When we put it together the metal was thinner than what I was used to and the ash tray had broken welds on it so I tried to reweld it which proved to be more of a chore but finally got it to hold. So I give it 3 stars
