Surprisingly Perfect!
These wing Chun blades are absolutely 100% awesome! Everything about them is perfect! I mean, they look heck of a lot more cartoony than they need to be -- but the form, weight, length, and balance of these are absolutely what you would want for the real things to work as intended. These practice blades are quite responsive in the hand. These are worthy of the moniker "8 slash knives". You can literally do every sort of technique imaginable from all angles with these blades. You can do linked circles, opposing circles, the dangerous flipping circles, chop in straight lines, slash in round lines, they feel good doing shoulder cuts, elbow cuts, wrist cuts, it all works good! These practice blades even work well in reverse grip with the points down! You can slash reverse grip style by throwing elbows, which doesn't work well with different length blades. This is just the ideal size for that. You get to use all your strongest muscles of your arms in that position so the blades rocket out pretty good. The hilt of these is also the kind with the wide hook that is convenient for flipping the blades from point up, to point down and back again one a fluid motion. I'm told by traditionalists that the wide hook that allows that motion is actually inferior for real sword fighting -- if you catch a blade in the hook, this style of hilt won't stop a blade from slicing you. The old fashioned narrow hook had a round shoulder that would catch the blade in it's rounded wedge, and turning your knife could cam out the opponent's blade forcefully to even further to protect you against cuts without having a huge guard or even use that camming action to disarm them. If you can see it in person, the wedging and caming action of the old narrow hook makes more sense. This wide hook style where you can flip it easily was apparently used more by the gangsters who would stuff the blade discretely in their big shirt pocket. Then if they were ordered to slash up a guy, well, they would whip out the blades and carry out the hit! Anyway, the plastic material feels incredibly study. It's solid, heavy, and quite impactful. You could easily club someone silly with these so be careful. They are not harmless. They are more safe than real blades, but not so safe you can go full force with these. The grip itself feels very nice. it has nice ribs and gentle contour that makes it relatively easy to grasp. It's too slippery to be ideal, but the shape is good, and the slipperiness can be fixed with some grip tape if you really want to.

Nice wing Chun practice swords
Pair of sturdy polypropylene wing Chun swords. Very nice practice swords. They come in a pair. Really light weight but proportionally sized. Very pleased with this purchase. These are very sturdy. Not meant for contact on people.

Great for Tae Kwon Do
My 14 year old needed a weapon for her Tae Kwon Do class. I didn't want to buy real, metal swords (obviously) for her so these worked out great. They are very sturdy and light and were perfect for her class.

Best plastic swords for the buck
They have a perfect weight to work your muscles without getting injured. Great looks and feel for the price, itโs the best option for adding weight to your wing chun training

Great for Training
These butterfly swords are great for training. I wish the hook was longer and the handle was flat on one side so I can keep those close together. Other than my wishes, good to train with in a safe manner.

Solid home defense, great in tight spaces!
This product is Amazing. I was not a fan of the style, or the size of these before I bought them. I originally bought these as a gift, and now I'm second-guessing parting with them. In comparison to the Cold Steel Medieval Training Dagger that (was at the time I purchased these) currently on sale, these are far better for home defense. Where the Medieval Training Dagger is Far better for pokie pokie stabby stabby, these have several ounces difference in blade weight, making these far better for physical impact when swung. Also worth noting, these things are hardly flexible at all, making them far more like real steel than the training daggers. The Wing Chun blades are also about an inch longer in blade length too. Even so, being longer as they are, they are still short enough to be useful in tight spaces, and great for home defense (as I said before). I would imagine a full power swing/impact to an unprotected skull would result in a major fracture of the bone, and most certainly a major trauma to the brain. These things would make an attacker think twice about being aggressive for sure! There is almost no point at the tip of the blade, so pokie pokie isn't an issue, and the blade itself is (I'm guessing) around a couple centimeters wide, making it more a blunt instrument than a blade. Hard as it is, you still would not want to get hit by these things. Great for training, but I would recommend using some padded armor and the best hand protection you can afford before sparing with these. Worth noting, they are blade heavy, making the balance point more in the middle of the whole piece, not anywhere near the hilt. So, if balance is something you care about at the core of your decision-making process, keep away from these polypropylene blades, they all are nearly the same with balance issues. Stick to your bokken wooden swords. For anyone that isn't bothered by imbalance, or heavy training tools, these polypropylene tools are the best materials on (current) the future market. When I got these, I expected to see "Made in China", but NO! These things are made in Taiwan! Big selling point IMO. I would GLADLY recommend these to anyone interested.

Quality Assured Butterfly Blades
Most of the weight is more centered on the blade giving the swings a good flow and the design is gorgeous with the clouds being on the blade and durability, I tried striking them together they do hold well and so does the guard
