A Sign of Affection 1 [Morishita, suu] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. A Sign of Affection 1 Review: This is really interesting. I really like it. - This is such a wonderful look at the day-to-day life of a college girl who happens to be deaf. Yuki is just adorable. So cute, & such a sweet girl. Itsuomi is quite handsome, & he seems like a really nice guy. I really enjoyed reading this. I had a deaf friend when I was a child. He could read lips, just like Yuki. I learned quickly to always face him when talking to him, & to say my words slowly, steadily, & with full pronunciations. No slang or slurred words! I always felt bad for him. He didn't have very many friends. Most of the other kids in the neighborhood either thought he was strange, or they made fun of him. I got in quite a numberof fights with other boys who made fun of my friend. It used to make me so mad! He was actually a really cool kid. It was sad no one wanted to give him a chance. If his family hadn't moved to NYC (from Spokane, Washington), I'm sure I'd still be his friend. So I can somewhat understand the trials that Yukingoes through. Not everyone is as patient & under standing as Itsuomi or her friend Rin. Her childhood friend is quite overprotective of Yuki. It's obvious he is holding a candle for her. I wonder how she feels about that? Or does she even know? I look forward to reading the next volume of this series! Review: Opens on the wrong (left) side but that's correct, not a defect. - I'm not sure how to rate this really, a teen granddaughter requested 1 & 2 in this series. I loved the story line. When the book came it was in pristine condition. But next I noticed it opened backwards. I was stunned. What on earth? Manufactured wrong? Defective? Send it back? I checked with my daughter and she confirmed these kinds of books open on the left not the right. Is this some aberrant New Age/Post Modern thing? Do Japanese read their books backwards? I am stunned but I gave it 5 stars because it is what my grand wanted and it's in perfect physical condition.

Great service, even better than advertised!
My book arrived early, was purchased at a good price, is a good quality copy, & most of all, the physical condition matched what was described in the original listing. Overall, I am satisfied with my order and recommend this seller for others when purchasing used manga books.

My first Manga
As this is my first Manga I truly didn't know what I expected to see. It took me a minute to realize that this book reads right to left; that had a learning curve. I think the graphics are spectacular and beyond beautiful. I will definitely continue the series. The premise of the book is very good. I'm grateful for the notes at the end.

I'm not a fan of shojo manga, but the idea of this story and the beautiful art style drew me in. I fell in love with Yuki from the first few pages. She is so adorable. I hope only lovely things happen to her on this love journey. Itsu is also a great male lead so far. He's so handsome and warm. I'm so glad I picked this up and I'm looking forward to reading volume 2.

Itsuomi and Yuki's story starts to develop, their lives so different but so alike. While she being deaf sees herself sometimes caged in this tiny little world, Itsumoi is a traveled person who goes out of the country to find out more about other cultures. Although it is like this, Itsuomi's sees Yuki's world as being a vast incredible one, and also can't help thinking she is cute. Yuki falls hard for him, they form a partnership that will probably face a lot of obstacles but with their understanding of each other and soft aura around them, I believe they will succeed. The art style is cute and wholesome, matching the vibe of the story perfectly. Hopefully, I can read the second volume fast! Also, the author took the time to give us some information about sign language in japan which I think it's informative and so important!

Kudos to the author for the art style of this manga. The panels are so beautiful and the characters are so well crafted and they each possess unique qualities. I also love the way the mangaka takes the time to illustrate the characters and their attempt of sign language. Great story. The only thing I hope will happen is for the MC to focus on herself and not chase Itsuomi all the time. While I understand that she’s drawn to him, I haven’t seen her once focus on herself. It’s like her whole world revolves around him.
