Does this work with an ip compatible dvr?

i use mine with qnap nvr, the camera can be setup with login account and suports onvif and rstp both well documented on tapo website.

Does the camera stay running all day or can it be set to turn on when it detects motion?

We leave ours on all day and we get notifications when there is motion
