Review: Look the part, comfortable for long periods, sound great. - Final vr3000 review I am a big fan of Final’s earbuds, having used a few pairs of their lower end models. I’ve always been impressed with build and sound quality, and definitely always found them a significant value prospect. This is the first pair that I have tried from their ‘gaming’ line, and I am equally impressed. Out of the box, they are a reasonably no-frills offering. A better-than-average soft-touch storage pouch, the standard final audio Velcro cable-tidy (I love this cable tidy) and various ear tips. I have pretty small ears (true story, I was once told by an audiologist “you’ve got really small ears you know, like... like a woman’s ears...”) but the stock tips fit absolutely fine on me. Fit-wise, the body of the earphones fits nicely into my ear and I have had no issues with hot-spots or discomfort over time. They are described by Final’s marketing team as “near customized fit”. Having used some custom IEMs in the past, I’m not sure quite how near they are getting, but for universal fit, they are pretty darn good. If you are somebody who likes to sleep with IEMs in, these are probably low profile enough that you’d be able to use the, for this. The matte black is also really slick-looking; they come across like a really well put together product. Also in the box were a set of ear hooks, designed for both comfort and to eliminate cable noise and microphonics. They were a *little* fiddly to attach to the cables, and I almost didn’t bother. The cable itself is really nice (which is good, as it is non-replaceable) and not particularly prone to microphonics anyway, but these being designed for gaming, it makes sense to eliminate distractions as much as possible. Once I did attach them, they actually work surprisingly well. The high frequency cable noise is eliminated almost entirely, and the rest dampened. Well worth taking the time to fiddle and get these attached when you receive these. There’s also a cable slider, however it gets stuck on the microphone dongle before it gets high enough to secure these around the back of your head (for monitoring etc.) Isolation on these is pretty unremarkable. Using them to drown out background Christmas carols was effective while music was playing, but there was a little bleed-through otherwise. Sound-wise, these are really pleasing. Final make a big play of these being tuned to gaming applications, which means they are aiming for soundstage and clarity. Clarity wise, they are really nice, top end is slightly exaggerated, giving some good spatial clues. This clarity in the top end also helps give a sense of sparkle, with those little clicks and pops of detail shining through nicely. Soundstage wise, from an IEM is never going to give the widest, but it was pretty accurate sounding. Listening to orchestral music it was very possible to close eyes and get some instrument locations, which I am sure would translate well to giving you a sense of realism in VR. I tried these with some binaural recordings, and they gave a really excellent convincing effect. They have a strong bass response, but not overblown. It goes nice and low, and there is enough of it, but it doesn’t feel overly emphasised. A track like “teardrop” by Massive Attack gives a really pleasurable bass hit. Obviously not as visceral as speakers, or even an over ear headphone, but the right controlled nature of the bass means it feels like it’s hitting that bit harder. Midrange is clean and I noticed no unpleasant dips or peaks in the response. Vocals are rendered cleanly and pleasantly. Listening to Joni Mitchell or Imogen Heap was a pleasure with these. The high end is also really nicely done with these. It definitely feels slightly treble heavy, which gives the sense of increased details. However, this does not appear to become fatiguing, for normal listening durations. For an IEM worn for gaming, this is a big plus, as it means they can be work for extended periods, with neither physical nor sonic fatigue. These are not the most expensive pair of headphones I have played with, and by no means the cheapest, but I really think they do hold their own. They look the part, feel comfortable, and sound really nice. Highly recommended.
Review: Great for gaming. - Great sound as expected from Final Audio but just couldn't get them to stay in comfortably. If you have tips that work for you then these are a no brainer.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for gaming.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for gaming
*by J***K on 2 June 2022*

Was starting to find over head headphones annoying so wanted to look into some form of in ear headphones.. I knew In Ear Monitors would be more comfortable however they normally have smaller sound stages which is not ideal for gaming. After a bit of searching I was recommended these, the Final VR3000’s. These IEM’s were built specifically for gaming, being given a wider soundstage and less bass response. I’ve been using these for a little while now and can confidently recommend them. They produce a nice sound for gaming and, despite what some comments say, I find they still have a nice enough bass kick for music. They fit literally perfectly to the shape of my ear (may vary from person to person) and are comfortable enough to be used for hours at a time. One little thing I didn’t consider before purchasing is that, because IEM’s rely on the seal created by the tips, they come slightly loose when you smile or laugh. I think this could be fixed by switching to a different tip size (these are included).
