## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you need the large format adapter with edge 11 and asi294mc pro?**
A: No, the sensor diagonal of the ASI294MC-P is 22mm. The standard SCT adapter that comes with the #93648 Deluxe Off-Axis Guider is fine and will not add additional vignetting.

**Q: How do you connect the autoguider to the telescope?**
A: Hi, every telescope has its own back focus requirements, mine the nextstar 8se is 105 mm ( a small variation is acceptable) now you have to keep trying different reducers and T adapters that came of the oag. The distance from the back end of the telescope to the front of the camera must be 105mm, the distance from the back of the telescope to the oag all the way to the guide camera must be equal to the distance from the back of the telescope to the main camera to achieve the required back focus on both cameras. It will not be an easy thing to achieve but you have have to keep trying, you can check YouTube from more details.

**Q: Can i use this with an edge hd 8" plus the .7x reducer? that's a lot in the optical train to still focus the camera.**
A: Back focus on the 8" Edge HD is 5.25 inches. You should be fine. https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/488238-8-edgehd-back-focus-question/

**Q: Will this work with my celestron 6se telescope, touptek gcmos usb 2.0 guider camera and canon eos1000d dslr camera?**
A: You'll need a t-ring to mate the OAG to the DSLR. I would contact Celestron about the mating it to the 6se. Also, make sure the 6se can be auto-guided or this will not help you for auto guiding. It should have a port clearly marked auto-guide if it can do this. I'm assuming you want to do long-exposure astrophotography. If it can be auto-guided then you will need an equatorial wedge to align with the north celestial pole (NCP). Aligning with the NCP prevents field rotation. You can't do that with an Alt/Az mount unless you have a wedge or rotator to de-rotate the field. You'll need to know what the back-focus of that scope is and set your camera sensor that distance from the back of the scope. You also need the back focus of your Touptek guider because you need its sensor and the DLSR sensor to be equidistant from the OAG prism to get your image in focus and the guide star image in focus at the same time. OAG are a pain but eliminate differential flexure of a guide scope. It sounds like your just getting started. I would forgo the OAG in favor of a T-ring and T-adapter to use with your DSLR and take short exposures. Start with 30 seconds and increase by 10 seconds until you see star trailing to get an idea of your maximum exposure with your current gear. The t-ring clicks into your DLSR and the t-adapter threads to the back of the scope and at one end and screws into the t-tring. T-ring: https://www.amazon.com/Celestron-93419-T-Ring-Canon-Camera/dp/B000237C9M/ref=pd_sim_421_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000237C9M&pd_rd_r=G5FZ4YN6FR2F3EG6YV0V&pd_rd_w=tJEeO&pd_rd_wg=1SdxD&psc=1&refRID=G5FZ4YN6FR2F3EG6YV0VT-adapter: https://www.amazon.com/Celestron-T-adapter-Schmidt-Cassegrains-Threads-Cell/dp/B00009X3V8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491367482&sr=8-1&keywords=93633-AYou're ankle deep right now and it doesn't take much to be in the deep end and spending lots of money. Even for entry level items. My camera is entry level and it cost $2000. Then you add filters and a filter wheel and OAG and now your at $3500. Not trying to discourage you but try out the simple short exposures before spending the time and money you need to invest for long-exposure astrophotography.Go here for detailed information (registration required):www.cloudynights.comwww.stargazerslounge.com
