This is a thoughtful addition to the Ticket to Ride universe. In short, the objective of the game is to connect railway stations with tracks you claim against route cards for points. Simple and fun. If you are familiar with the original Ticket to Ride, know that this edition is more closely associated with Ticket to Ride Europe than with the regular North American edition. The main difference being that the latter can be played with 2 to 5 players and this Nordic edition (like Europe) plays with only 2 to 3. So know that going in. The Nordic map is gorgeous and fun to lay track on. It has a great winter or Christmas feel to it. You might think it’s just the same game over again on a new map but that’s not the case. The distance of the stations and dynamics of the railway paths make the strategy for winning very different than in other Ticket to Ride offerings. On this edition one may want to focus on making routes clean and complete vs. racking up points - otherwise you may have some good plays on the board but may not have claimed enough route tickets to win the game. No doubt this version is way more likely to generate smack talk and discontent as the pacing and the map allow for some brutal play possibilities. This makes for fun, unique, and vigorous play - adding welcomed variety to the Ticket to Ride concept. This board game is a good value, and is quite difficult to find. The Nordic edition is seemingly quite limited in North America and may be expensive or hard to secure. I suspect before long it may not be able to be found new and shoppers may have to look for one second hand. If you like Ticket to Ride, you’ll like this edition.

Another great version of Ticket to Ride with cool cities within the Scandinavia/Nordic region. Have the end of the year/Christmas/winter feel when playing this game. Only drawback is 3 x players instead of 4

Gioco da tavolo per ragazzi e adulti. Accattivante e perché no, anche istruttivo, geograficamente parlando. Consigliato
