Great quality and great price
This barn door hardware kit is awesome! Super sturdy, great quality and the door slides very smooth. Requires a backing strip behind the rail ia the door and hardware is fairly heavy. Install is straightforward and final install looks great. Much cheaper than similar products in store. This one comes with more than just the rail and sliders, you get the handle and bottom guide hardware as well.

This door is great - follow the directions!
This door is awesome. Looks great plain Jane strait out of the box! Very easy to assemble. Just FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! You know how in school they would do that fun test that started out with “read all the instructions FIRST then proceed”. As you are of course reading them all the way through first, your friends are standing on one leg and clucking like a chicken. Well, this is like that. They are in the box for a reason...and not just for padding! That’s why they put them in a red bag. Red for “Hey, these are important”. The parts are labeled. Some stamps may be a little lighter than others and not on both ends of the boards, but they are there...LOOK FOR THEM and don’t be a complainer!Did I mention follow the instructions? The door slats get installed in a certain order and in a certain direction. Yes, they will all fit regardless of what order, but they build these doors by the thousands. They have it down to a science Frankenstein!Assembling - make sure you have your tongue and groove boards together and in the right order when you put on the cross braces. You have to put the braces on. They are there for a reason. No, the braces are not meant to go right corner to corner. They WILL sit off the edges about 1/8 of an inch to allow for expansion. When you put it together properly the entire panel will self adjust in the frame as it’s meant to.Now for the educational part for all the negative reviews you see. First and foremost...THIS IS A REAL WOOD PRODUCT. REAL wood expands and contracts with temperature and humidity. As such, the wood in this door is going to move; it’s supposed to. It’s a barn door replica. Barn doors are meant to be outside. Doors meant to be outside are built to change with the weather. Get the picture? So, if you paint it and you paint it a light color...if the wood moves because of the temp, you are going to see the crack. That’s why they put in the cross bracing. It holds the panels together. That’s for you decorating engineers who want to change the door design and then Write negative reviews because “cracks are showing, the doors is twisting, this is supposed to be a show piece and now I just can’t have it in my house!” Again, follow the directions, the people who make these doors have a little background. Oh...DO NOT TRY AND GLUE THE DOOR PANELS TOGETHER! Did I mention that they are supposed to move?Enjoy your new door. My wife and I love ours.
