Works in the dark, wash !

Perfect fit!
I elected to pay extra for the genuine Tascam windscreen. It fits perfectly on my DR-07XP and blocks out all but the strongest gusts (the mics on this recorder are SUPER sensitive).

Good for people with wind
Being the genuine Tascam wind sock it worked well. Most importantly allows for setting microphones in AB configuration. Sound quality good. Wind noise rejection good.

Couldn't Really Ask for a Better Windscreen
I love this windscreen - the Tascam DR is so sensitive to wind because of the high quality condenser mics that this accessory is pretty much a requirement if you're recording outdoors. Only the gustiest of winds will get through it. It does get in the way of the headphone jack if you like to live monitor your recordings (which you SHOULD be doing at all times), but that's not the windscreen's fault and you can work around it - it's more of a design oversight with the Tascam DR series themselves and not worth deducting a star for.
