Terrible solution
Looking for IEMs to use in the pool (physical therapy). Got these. Not for me. 1. I don't have a huge head, yet these are tight on me, and overall uncomfortable 2. The software is outdated. You need software to transfer files from your computer, and that software is touch-and-go, even though it only does one thing, transfer files (something you can do from your PC desktop without using any software). Even though it's a one-trick pony, I had to restart-reconnect a couple of times for it to work. By the way, I usually check for firmware updates, just in case. Can't do it in this situation, the software doesn't provide that option. Unbelievable. 3. Horrible (actually non existing) user interface. Yes you can play/pause,, and fast forward, but that seems to be it. Once you load song files, you can't chose them, so while I might have 100 songs, it seems to start from the first one you uploaded, and go from there every time. I suppose you can shuffle, though even that is not self-explanatory. 4. Beware: this works only with Mp3 files. I have none, as all my music is either streamed or in high definition Flac files. Honestly I haven't even seen a Mp3 file in years... but that might be me, not sure if this is a problem for others. Worth noting though, as I don't think Mp3 files are fashionable these days. 5. They don't play very loud, and I mean not at all. If you like or need good volume (not excessive, just ... you know... not soft :), these are not for you. And I haven't even tried in the water, I noticed this in my (silent) office... They were probably a good solution in the 90's. I suppose that the word "Walkman" should have told me something. This being 2023, I am returning them.

Great sound quality and overall design
I started getting used to the convenience of wireless ear buds but was disappointed in the sound quality for classical music. These give you same convenience with really high quality sound (the difference between these and anything bluetooth is night and day). Other major positive is the design is a lot better than earlier versions of this product. The buttons are spaced far enough apart so it's easy to tell what you're pushing while they're on your head.

No bass. Otherwise, these are awesome.
Bass response is on par with cheapo $20 earbuds, which is very disappointing. But, it meets or exceeds all other requirements I have for an MP3 player/headphones. Pros: - Light weight, ergonomic, long battery, intuitive controls, sufficient memory, software not needed for Windows w/ MP3s - 'Ambient noise function' is REALLY COOL. Works similar to electronic earmuffs for firearms; lets ambient noise in even though your ears are plugged by the earbuds. I leave this on most of the time. Cons: - Poor Bass 😢 Other Thoughts: - No Bluetooth, which is what I want. I don't want GHz blasting next to my brain more than I need to. - Waterproofness is a great feature that will hopefully save the unit from accidents, but I do not plan to use it in the water.

Glad I bought it with a 3-year protection plan for ...
This is the second one I've bought. For weight lifting you can't beat it. The new generation is much more refined than the last one. Glad I bought it with a 3-year protection plan for $9 as the unit is fussy in how and it sometimes decides to turn on. The old one eventually stopped powering up. I do recommend it as the best of it's kind - a selection that's more limited than I expected.

Poor quality product
Stopped working after 9 months. Won't take a charge when plugged into a laptop. This is the second time I've purchased this product and both times they stopped working in less than two years. Poor quality and not built to last.

Very nice if you want just music without Bluetooth or internet. Quality is great!

No Bluetooth - This device is a standalone Walkman
I bought this product so that I could listen to music whilst swimming. It came recommended as the best product from a swimming orientated site. Out the box, I realized that there is NO bluetooth and it functions as a standalone music player. A little inconvenient, but ok, my oversight. So, lets load some music onto the device. I install the packaged software, SONY Music Centre for PC. My only options are to import mp3/AAC files or CDs... What year is this? I appreciate that the last year has been the proverbial flaming brown paper bag left on the doorstep, but come on SONY. Who has a CD collection in 2021? In a world of paid streaming content where I sit squarely in the <insert streaming service name here>, this device is utterly useless. Yes, I can illegally download content and load it onto the device. But honestly it's just not worth the effort. I just want to fight the good fight trying to combat my middle aged spread by swimming a few lengths without loosing my mind to the boring solitude of the pool. Sony how about you just strike an agreement with <insert streaming service here> to allow the importing of content and playlists from into Music Centre. You probably already own the rights to most of the music anyway? I suppose I am somewhat jading seeing as this is my second attempt to buy a set of swimming compatible headphones that has failed miserably. The first was a set of JBL Endurance headphones which while waterproof are utterly incompatible with water in that the touch controls activate when wet...? Go figure? Seeing as I brought it in from the USA to South Africa, I just don't have the inclination or time to even attempt to return the product. SONY, while you build wonderful products, this hardware without a music ecosystem is utterly useless and shouldn't even be on the market. Mine is ultimately destined for the landfill once I can bring myself to concede defeat.

It takes a lot to make me feel so pleased with a product that I would take the effort to write a review. This device has done it though. I'm a runner and on training runs music is an absolute must. For a long time I had my rather bulky windows phone in a waist strap with wires up through my shirt...... It worked but it was never great and couldn't get to controls so if a song that wasn't working for you came on you just had to endure it. The benefit of course was that my phone doubled up as a GPS tracker so I could log my runs etc. A month ago I bought a Smartwatch (Garmin forerunner 630) so that I could capture more info from my runs which is great, but I have been missing the music or still needing to take my phone. Buying these was a risk, very few reviews due to their recent release and I was worried about ease of use (after all, the controls are behind your ears), would they slip on my head or fall out easily as many buds do when running and would the sound quality be any good. I am pleased to say it has exceeded expectations in all areas. They fit on my head as if they were designed specifically for me, the quality of sound is amazing and the ambient noise mode that enables you to hear things going on around you is surprisingly crisp and it..... Well, it just works! I haven't used them for swimming so can't comment on the waterproof feature but for everything else, they are brilliant! I can't recommend enough if you're a runner who wants to ditch the smartphone and leave home without as much kit then this is what you want.

Opened the MP3 player a couple of months after purchasing it. Seems very straightforward to connect and upload music to it. There's a lot of variation in earbud sizes included. I used the mp3 player in the swimming pool and ut worked fine, earbuds slipped a little but was okay. However, that was the only time I could use it. The battery died while I was using it and it would not charge again. I couldn't reset it or doing anything as the laptop wouldn't recognise it as connected. I tried various adapters and power sources but nothing. So I got one use from the mp3 player.
