Does this hardwired £49 model include the plug in adapter for power?

100% doesn’t come with power adaptor (240v power adaptor plug) Bought two of these for Christmas presents, You only get a small jumper wire with this so you can wire too your original doorbell. Ignore others saying that you get the power adapter with it as they obviously haven’t bought one.

Is this Onvif compatible i.e viewable on networked dvr and constantly able to stream

No... It also only allows you to live stream it for 10 minutes using your phone or an alexa. (see my review for more info)

Description is confusing on the amps "(...10-40va...), or you can use ring din rail transformer 2nd gen (...0.42a...)" would 8-24v ac 8va work?

Basically the low voltage ac output of your existing doorbell transformer, (8v to 24v ac) is wired in series with your doorbell and the push button at your front door. Current travels from one of the output wires/terminal of the transformer to one terminal on the push button. A second wire returns from the other terminal on the push button and connects to one side of the coil in your doorbell. The other side of the doorbell coil has the return wire going from it, back to the other low voltage wire/terminal of the transformer. When the push button is pressed the current flows through the closed circuit of the transformer output, the push button contacts and the coil in the doorbell, making it bing bong, or ding a ling. To use the original transformer all you have to do is disconnect the wires connected to the coil in the chime/bell housing and connect them to one another, short circuit them. The two wires going to the old push button can then be used to supply power to your new ring wired door camera. BE SURE TO ISOLATE THE MAINS SUPPLY TO THE DOORBELL TRANSFORMER BEFORE WORKING ON IT.
