These are very sturdy, well designed and made of very nice wood. They do a good job mixing and serving salad. The only negative is that one of the utensils had some white spots on the back that don't wash off.

The pictures look like they will be a darker color and when I receive it, they look much lighter. Almost an oak/birch/unstained wood look. As it was so much lighter, they didn't match my wood serving dishes well. If this doesn't matter as much to you then might not be an issue. They were a good size and feel in the hand. I like that the back of the handles are flat and so they won't roll or slide if placed on the counter or table. I will say there were definitely some imperfections when they arrived which is disappointing new. The tines of the fork are definitely rough edges/uneven as other reviewers mentioned. That didn't matter as much to me; however, I didn't like a that there were a couple chips already (between middle and right tine on the fork and on the right side of the spoon edge). The spoon also had places of wood that looked dry and cracking almost like a wood cutting board that hasn't been conditioned.
