It's very easy to carry. Lightweight plastic. I'm a bigger girl and it was uncomfortable to use. If you're smaller, the instructions are accurate.

How to use it? Does it work well?

Concept is spot on, functionality fails. For me at the lowest arch setting it collapsed, and each setting increasing the arch, the arch collapsed. But what do you expect from an all plastic and foam, I did not notice if there was/is a weight limit, but now I think about it the commercials I have seen on this product the people that used it on camera are all females and I’m a male. I think to make this work it would have to be made of 4 different metal arches, the base is probably ok to stay plastic, but the arches need to be made of a stronger material ie.. metal. All in all you get what you pay for….. plastic. Update: I noticed they put a weight limit(330lbs) on it now I still have the issues described above and I weigh 241lbs.
