I have tried a lot of gels for my wavy/curly hair and this gel by far gives me the best results. I have finer hair and this gives my hair great definition that lasts for me 3-4 days. It gives a nice hard cast that is easily broken to leave defined shiny curls. The price is fair for the product. I would rather pay a little more and get great results than have multiple products that are cheaper and don’t have the same results. I have tried a lot of different products. Not a strong fragrance. Depending on your hair type you may need to play with amount needed for best results.

I used to love the old Devacurl Arc Angel gel (before the reformulation that removed all the protein). I’ve struggled so much to find a replacement that would actually hold my curls and give them definition for years since. The ones that had really powerful hold (LA Looks, Garnier, Not Your Mothers, Ouidad) had no proteins or amino acids that would help give definition to my curls. So I’d have hold, but loose and limp waves where I should have curls. Or I’d find one with protein but the hold would be abysmal and I’d end up refreshing my curls every morning instead of being able to go 3 days without needing to. I have fine hair, I need those proteins for my curl pattern to hold itself together otherwise as soon as the cast is broken they just fall apart. This gel is exactly what I was looking for. Protein galore in the entire line, but the gel is the perfect combo of strong hold and hella protein for my hair. It’s got a slimy texture almost that makes it a breeze to work through the hair and ensure every curl is covered and you can feel it forming a cast as I scrunch it in. It’s still workable while damp, but it’s really cool to feel it settling into curls as you go. The gel cast breaks easily whether you use bare hands or a little oil to break it up and despite it being a strong hold, it doesn’t leave your hair crunchy unless you apply way too much. Start small with this gel though, since you can feel that cast starting to form when you’re first applying, let that tell you to add more or not. I easily get 3 days of good curls with this gel before needing to refresh. If my hair wasn’t short right now, I could probably go longer if I wanted to. It locks your curls into shape and keeps them there.

My go to gel!! it provides just the right amount of hold for me and my hair does not get overly frizzy when working in a very humid environment. Briogeo did great with this!

Good curl designer that makes the hair look shiny and keeps the waves and curls longer.

I have wavy hair and I love the Briogio curl styling creme, but the curl gel is sooo sticky and crunchy! I've used lots of curl gels and this is the worst one! All the others I have used after I completely wet me hair, I'll rub in the curl creme and gel, scrunch, and wait for my hair to dry and form a cast and then proceed to shake it out by running my fingers through. It's light and flows holding the curl with no stickiness or crunchiness. But this one was a crunchy, sticky, frizzy mess! I was disappointed because I wanted to find a good curl gel I could buy from Amazon. I recommend Flora & Curl for curl gel, its the best I've tried so far but you can't get it at Amazon sadly. I prefer the Briogio Curl creme to the Flora & Curl curl creme though.

Leaves my hair crunchy and I dont like that

I’m in curl training so my curls aren’t at their premium state, but this is the best my hair has ever looked! I have a lot of hair, but it’s considered fine in the curly hair world (not kinky) so I have to use water or aloe based products. I have some stubborn strands that still like to stay straight, and this is the first product I’ve used that makes them curl a bit. There’s no smell and it’s super easy to use. Because it creates a cast (crunchy layer to scrunch out when hair is dry), you simply section your damp hair after a shower, rake through, then squeeze your hair up towards your roots multiple times then again with a 100% cotton cloth/ shirt. I then diffuse upside down my roots and then the curls. It’s a work in progress but this has done a marvelous job. If only the price wasn’t so much, but clearly I got what I paid for.

My new fav product for my light curls, I definitely reccomend if you have a more loose curl pattern like mine

Dried my fine 3b caucasion naturally grey hair. I had to get the ends cut off, finally threw it away half-full. Doesn't even mix well with my other "natural" products.

This gel made my hair too hard after use, and it got more easily tangled. I wouldn’t really recommend it.
