Idemitsu ATF Type HP
I used this fluid for a transmission service where the vehicle called for Type HP fluid. Shifting felt smooth afterward and I did not notice any leaks or issues. The fluid looked clean and poured easily. It is also significantly less expensive than buying OEM fluid directly from the dealer.

I only use Subaru Transmission Fluid
The automatic transmission from Subaru works much better than off-brand fluid.

Subaru OEM for Half the Price
I'm not sure why Subaru feels that its necessary to rebrand something a double the price, but that's exactly what they do with this ATF. Ignore the Subaru branded stuff you get at the "stealership" and just buy this. Its literally the same stuff in a different bottle. Speaking to the fluid specifically, I try to cycle 4 quarts through my Forester every other oil change and paying Subaru's prices would make that borderline prohibitively expense. This stuff is fine to use (the owner's manual specifically mentions it) and it is identical to the OEM fluid. I've heard good things about the Valvoline brand synthetic fluid, but I'm paranoid about using something that Subaru doesn't specially recommend since their vehicles are kind of "picky" about things like that, and I've noticed improved shifting after every cycle of this ATF. Is it the best? Probably not, but it seems to be getting the job done, is covered by the manual, and isn't too expense. Would recommend.

Power Steering Fluid for 2014 Subaru Outback
I bought three quarts to โchangeโ the power steering fluid in my 2014 Subaru Outback and was very pleased with the results. It only took one quart so, I have some for the future. There are plenty of ways to do the job but I chose to use a hand pump to remove xx ounces of old, dark fluid from the power steering reservoir then replaced that with new fluid from this container. A quick drive back and forth on my driveway (I have a long driveway) mixed things together. After the 4th time doing this procedure, I noticed the fluid was getting lighter red so, I did it three more times and called it a day. That was probably 7 months ago and I have no problems.

Idimetsu makes the fluid dealers sell. Cheaper without subaru lable
Idimetsu makes the fluid subaru uses and supplies. This is a fine source for this vehicle specific fluid. Then again I put 100k on a 2001 outback after I switched it to valvoline. high mileage atf. Still you pay your money and place your bets so now I use Idimetsu
