This book is mostly about the evolution of economic thought over the course of human history and is more of a book on economic theory than on "the" economy or economies. Very beginner friendly, I knew almost nothing about economics before reading and felt I was able to understand virtually everything I read.

Well written, panoptic in scope but with concise (typically 5 page) chapters, this book's an excellent introduction to economic history. The short chapters should also be a buy-in for those who find some of the theory a little dense. However, even there, the author manages to mitigate the potential quagmire of theory through anecdote and analogy - to good effect. Highly recommend as a introductory text.

Good book. For someone who is looking for a book to get into economics, this is a good option. The author was able to explain some of the major economic theories in a 245-page-book. The only problem is pacing. Since every economical thought is explained and unfolded in 6 pages, it could be a little exhausting to read continuously because you would be Reading a lot of new ideas. My recommendation is to read 3 chapters in a row to avoid confusion. There was not any problem with the delivery.
