Adscope 600 Platinum Series Cardiology Stethoscope with Tunable AFD Technology, 27 inch Length, Tactical All Black

At first let me say that before I purchased this stethoscope I had decided on the Littmann Master Cardiology. I know that often times one pays more for the name, but in most cases I'm OK with that as the name usually deserves the good reputation and in the case of the Littmann, that definitely stands. The Master Cardiology is a fantastic stethoscope. However, as I was doing my research on the Littmann MC I began to find more and more people mentioning and recommending this Adscope Cardiology stethoscope over the Littmann MC. These weren't just average users either, these were cardiologists, cardiology nurses, ICU nurses, and other such qualified people. So I decided to look into it. All I can say is that I am extremely glad I did. I will not repeat their reviews here, you can read them yourself if you would like. Right out of the box, this scope was amazing. The audio quality and volume is astounding. The very first time I tried it out, I was amazed. Mind you, I am not coming from a poor stethoscope either. My previous scope was an original HP Sprague, one of the best of it's kind. For those of you who know your scopes, you know what I'm talking about. But this new scope, simply blew me away. The sheer volume of what I was hearing was incredible. The binaurals are sturdy and the spring is tight. The earpieces are very comfortable. I switched to the larger set that came with the scope as I prefer to have all background noise blocked out when I'm auscultating. I literally can't hear a thing outside of the scope when I am wearing it. The head is heavy, like most cardiology scopes. I find it slipping down towards the direction of the head when I wear it around my neck. The tube is thicker than the Littmann, but that's no big deal. The tube does, however, have a seemingly permanent bend that matches the way it came in the box. This is somewhat annoying as it tends to only like to lie one way around my neck. As far as the bend causing issues when using the scope, none to worry about. As of this review, I have used the scope on approximately 60+ pediatric assessments and 20+ adult assessments. I didn't necessarily purchase this scope for pediatric assessments, it just happened to work out that way with my current rotations. These assessments went from very sick kids, to infants, to adults with a-fib. The scope performed flawlessly. In fact, my compadres keep borrowing it from me to listen to their own patients (they all have Littmanns, but not cardiology scopes). To top it all off, let's face it, the all black design is sexy! And with a name like, "The Ninja" how can you go wrong? Ha! The color looks awesome. I have noticed a very small spot on one of the edges of the head where it looks like the black is wearing off. I'm not too happy about that. But, I can live with it. This is one amazing scope. I paid half the price of the Littmann MC and I feel like I get better performance. Of course, it's mine so my opinion may be a little biased, but in any case, the performance is AT LEAST as good as the Littmann Master Cardiology and, it's half the price. Buy one! You won't regret it. On a side note, the little name tag thing that comes with this scope is junk. It's cheap plastic and doesn't really fit. Throw it out and find some other way to make it yours.

Incredible acoustics, sound quality, design, and feel. Feels like a "ferrari-costco" of a product; low price, buy above and beyoind. Bell feels heavy and legit. Ear pieces fit well. Tubing feels legit. Overall better than my Littman Cardiology IV which was twice the price. Feels durable, and I imagine they have some form of lifetime warranty or device refurbishment plans to match other competitors.

Works great! Still getting used to the bell pressure for high and low sounds. Sound quality and clarity are amazing and I like it better than my littmann echo core. Probably the best stethoscope I’ve had. Not as loud as a digital but clarity way better.

Ordered for my RN daughter (who does home visits for seniors). She says it sounds great! It was a an early birthday gift as her previous one was damaged and she was having issues listening to her patients.

First, let's get one thing out of the way: when it's working and used with the right eartips, this scope gives me the best acoustics I've ever heard. Yes, better than the Littman Master Cardiology. Yes, better than the Cardiology III. If you sold your soul to Satan for the best-sounding scope around, he would hand you an AdScope 600 and laugh at you for overpaying. I use this scope in noisy ambulances, in loud apartments, in busy clubs, everywhere. I can hear lungs, hearts, bowels and trachea (tracheii?) crystal-clear. Got it? Good. Now the bad news. I got this in Stealth Black (so as to sneak up on the diabetics) about 8 months ago. The black coating on the bell and binaurals scratches off pretty easily, so I'd recommend the not-as-sexy regular coatings instead. Inside of two weeks the eartip size that fits me ripped, and man, the size smaller were NOT comfortable to use. Weirdly, they also required holding the scope by the arch of the tubing in EXACTLY the right place in order to hear anything at all. It made the scope unwieldy and uncomfortable. Then, about 6 months after purchase, the diaphragm ring and diaphragm just.... vanished. I looked down after a call and they were just gone. Dead scope. Sad panda. Angry panda, actually. Ouchy eartips plus vanishing diaphragm wasn't my thing. I put the scope away in anger. I went back to my old Littman Select and was miserable. I splurged on a Master Cardiology, was shocked that it didn't sound as good as the 600, and had it "grow legs" within 2 weeks, the way Littmans tend to do. Then I bought an AdScope 615 as a backup, which is... meh. After about a month out of commission I finally broke down and emailed ADC asking where to find parts for my 600, and was pleasantly surprised when I was told that my scope had a lifetime warranty. A very nice rep at ADC mailed me not one, but TWO of each part that had gone wrong or missing, free of charge. (The diaphragm ring was a little hard to put on, actually, but I made do.) But putting this stethy back in my ears and listening to some poor sucker's chest after two months away felt like the heavens opening up, like the adventitious singing of wheezing angels. It's unclear how well this scope will hold up going forward. Our history is certainly a little rocky. I'm hesitant to recommend it purely on reliability issues. But holy lung butter does it have great acoustics. And ultimately that's what matters, right?

Best stethoscope I’ve ever owned. RT here X35 years. This is going to be my last stethoscope here on out. Great performance for old ears. lol. Beautiful gold and heavy and solid. The only thing that can out perform this stethoscope is one of those E-stethoscopes with the heart monitor build in it. But only barely. And that stethoscope is $400+.

I have used different stethoscopes throughout the years including Rappaport's, Littmann Classic's and Cardiology's. I can confidently say that the acoustics of this stethoscope is comparable with that of the Littmann Cardiology. The chestpiece does function as both bell and diaphragm by changing the exerted pressure on the chestpiece. This is useful for differentiating types of cardiac murmurs (such as the low pitched rumble of mitral stenosis vs the high-pitched murmur of aortic regurgitaton.) The chestpiece is machined quite nicely, no rough or sharp edges that I can discern. The ADC logo and the serial number can be seen (probably laser-etched) on the top. It feels substantial in your hand, neither heavy nor light, giving the chestpiece a nice touch of quality. The PVC tubing is quite thick in diameter, understandable for improved acoustics, and just the right length, not too long for sound transmission to suffer, and not too short either that you have to stay uncomfortably close to your patient. It is soft and flexible enough but still avoids kinking. Compared to most stethoscopes, the tubing seems to filter out a lot of (not all) adventitious noise. The earpiece is comfortable and does not hurt your ears from prolonged use. Just be careful, the earpiece is screwed on, and it easily unscrews. Personally, I wrap a short length of Teflon tape (used to seal water pipe connections) to keep the earpiece screwed on tightly. Since I'm only using this stethoscope for less than a month, I cannot comment on durability. Overall, I would recommend this stethoscope. It offers excellent value for money while still delivering excellent acoustics.

I love the weight and the fit in the ears. Needs light pressure on the bell for best acoustics. The tubing is just OK in terms of sound...best to protect from rubbing on gowns etc. Although I prefer the DRG stethoscope for its noise reduction tubing, this one is good in terms of basic use for heart sounds and lung sounds as long as you know not to push very hard on the diaphragm. Excellent price!

Impressive both re sound quality and colour combination - love the gold with black piping. Made to impress with sound quality that makes it very easy to catch valve abnormalities. Totally recommended!!!!

Very wary of buying an unknown brand for my precious stethoscope but I was so wrong! This is by far the best ever stethoscope I have owned. Full stop The quality of sound, feel, comfort… much better that the well known ones out tgere. And the lifetime guarantee is just irresistible! My first ever heart listening was like mind blowing! I could hear the blood rushing out into the different chambers. And perfect pitch lung sounds! Wow. Just wow.
