I've bought a one of these devices from the local well known hardware store and they buckled half way through my project, so needing another one several years later I found it convenient to buy from Amazon and their range of "Basics" products which I always find good value for money, I've already got their HiFi cables and was very impressed with the quality. This caulking gun is very sturdy and well built, it's simple to use but feels solid in your hand when you apply the caulk, upon closer inspection I feel this will last a few years, whenever I need to use it I can always get it out so it doesn't feel like a disposable ones you get from the local hardware stores. This is a well made good quality gun, and it does feel heavy duty, a little disappointing is its length, I made an assumption and didn’t look properly at the size of tubes it can take, it can’t accept anything larger than a 310ml tube so Gripfills and larger tubes don’t fit unfortunately which is a shame

I would not use this on a construction site, but it wasn't built for that kind of use. I'm rebuilding a back porch and painting my house, and for this level work this works great. Caulk tubes fit it just fine, and it works great. Amazon Basics has never let me down.
