DONT BUY FROM THIS SELLER
This product turned out to be a US only product (I’m in the UK and purchased it on the UK Amazon site). There was nothing within the advertisement that suggested that this was in fact a none UK/EU product. I became concerned when I realised it was going to take such a long time to arrive so I contacted the seller to check that it would be ok for the UK and on a UK plug. The seller said it wouldn’t be a problem and that it would work fine with a plug converter. When the pressure washer arrived I read the instruction manual and it was clear that it wouldn’t work and possibly either break the device or my electrics. After getting professional advice in this it was made clear that it would need a step down device powerful enough to bring the voltage down from what is used in the UK to what is commonly used in the US. This would be a large and expensive box which would be needed to achieve this. When I went back to the seller they said that they often get this problem and then suggested that they send out another Amazon product which was also a step down device but a gravely underpowered one for £10 which would not work and would most definitely break the pressure washer and possibly cause a fire. I informed them that it wouldn’t work and they asked what would as they didn’t know about these things. When I explained what was needed they offered to put a nominal amount towards the solution to which I accepted. I then purchased the needed product, paid an electrician to fit and after it still didn’t work. So £187 extra out of pocket to fix the issue I then proceeded to send the product back to the seller when I had no other option. The seller pulled all the stops on attempting not to refund me as requested by myself and Amazon representatives. They claimed I sent the product back to the wrong address. They claimed the have paid me my refund in full which they had not. This is still an ongoing issue to get my refund. Karcher EU have also stated that these are produced for the USA market only and shouldn’t be used outside of the US as it would be extremely dangerous to do so. FOR YOUR SAFTY AND SANITY DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER !!!!!

When I started looking for a pressure washer, I fully expected to buy one with an internal combustion engine. However, a friend of mine had a Karcher that he was happy with and let me borrow it. I was skeptical of using an electic device in a wet environment, but it worked well and I was sold. The features on this Karcher tick off all my requirements and I'm quite pleased with the purchase. There were some delivery issues, however. The pressure washer I kept was the fourth one delivered to me. That's right, the fourth. The reason is that there was one thing or another wrong with the first three. One leaked from a hose connection point between the pump and the wand, one had badly mangled threads where the supply hose connected, and one leaked from within the unit. Judging from the condition of the delivery boxes, I believe the fault lies not with the Karcher manufacturing process but on the logistics and delivery end. Through it all, Karcher was excellent. The process for reporting the failure and getting another unit delivered was easy and they never changed me an additional dime for delivering the replacement units. While it was disappointing to experience these failures, and wait a couple of extra weeks to be able to use the pressure washer, Karcher's customer service was absolutely top notch!

I purchased this pressure washer to detail our vehicles (foam and rinse each vehicle’s paint, engine and undercarriage), power wash mats, etc. I am a weekend warrior … not a professional detailer. I only detail about 1-2 cars per week (on average) … so, I don’t need an expensive pressure washer. Given my needs, my research pointed me to this unit as my best value … being able to provide low enough water pressure to avoid damaging a vehicle’s paint while being both affordable and of reasonable build quality for weekend warriors use. In addition to good function and good value, I also wanted ease of access to (and storage of) the unit. So, I installed my unit on a wall shelf and added an MTM Hydro 50-foot hose reel below the wall shelf (see photo). Pros: The K1700 cube comes with fittings that are commonly used by higher quality pressure washers (M22 threads and 1/4” fittings). I bought and installed MTM Hydro 1/4" stainless steel quick connects to easily connect / disconnect the unit from my home’s water source, its hoses, etc. that were readily available and didn’t require special adaptor fittings to work on the K1700. This was important to me because I live in a climate with freezing temperatures in the winter, don’t have a heated garage and therefore store my setup in my basement for the winter. The K1700 cube is relatively light and compact … facilitating my shelf install. The K1700 cube has an easy to use and convenient foot pedal to turn the machine on and off. Because my setup is on a wall shelf, I simply press the pedal with my hand. The K1700 cube has a water intake on the left side and its water outlet on the front. These locations work very well for connecting hoses for the summer (and disconnecting the machine and the hoses for winter storage) … especially when you have a wall shelf installation. The K1700 cube’s water pressure and water output (that I have reduced by using a 40-degree 3.0 orifice MTM Hydro quick connect nozzle and an MJJC Foam Cannon with 1/4 Inch Quick Connector) is sufficient for my applications. This machine comes with a 25-foot power cord with built-in GFCI (ground-fault circuit interrupter) protection designed to shut off the machines electric power in the event of a ground-fault (such as contact with water.). This hose length should be more than adequate for most every installation. The K1700 cube has a built-in storage container. I use mine for storing extra nozzles (I bought a set of MTM Hydro 3.0 quick connect nozzles), etc. Finally, the K1700 cube comes with a 3-year warranty (the cube unit … I don’t believe the warranty covers all the accessories). This is a very good warranty for a more “budget” pressure washer. I should point out that more “budget” units like the K1700 (although well made) are not designed to last forever. So, for Karcher to warranty this unit suggests their confidence in the product. Certainly, based on my experience so far, the K1700 cube appears well-made and has not given me any problems. Cons: The K1700 is not designed for cleaning decks, driveways, etc. If you are seeking a pressure washer to perform these tasks easily, look for a higher PSI machine. This is not a problem for me. I use my K1700 cube strictly for car detailing. I have a much more powerful pressure washer for handling tasks that require higher PSI ratings. This machine comes with “budget” accessories … a 20 foot pressure washer hose, a pressure washer gun and wand and some nozzles. The problem is that all lower cost pressure washers come with what I would describe as “budget” accessories (hoses that are too short in length, inflexible and tangle and break easily, pressure washer guns and wands that are made out of lesser quality parts), etc. I left the attachments that came with my K1700 cube in the box and bought higher quality attachments … a hose 50 foot MTM Hydro Kobrajet hose, a Mosmatic NEO pressure washer gun with swivel (again that can be quickly and easily connected / disconnected using my quick connects) … am very happy that I did. It has greatly enhanced my pressure washing experience … eliminating fighting with lesser quality components as well as making my pressure washer very convenient to use and to put away / store after use. The K1700 cube comes with a build-in soap dispenser. For me, this is a con because I use a foam cannon (or other foamers and sprayers) to apply cleaning products (like car shampoo, wheel and tire cleaners, engine degreasers, etc.). I never use built-in “features” like soap dispensers … which I should point out only function as a sprayer (not a foamer). Recommendation: I highly recommend the Karcher K1700 Cube. In my humble opinion, I am of the view that this unit was by far the best value for money to meet my needs (for all the reasons that I set out above). Notwithstanding, I suggest that if you are considering buying this unit (or any other unit that includes accessories with the unit) for car detailing (or other applications), that you replace the accessories (pressure washer hose, spray gun and nozzles) that ship with the unit with higher quality accessories. You also may want to consider buying quick connectors to make attaching / detaching pressure washer guns, foam cannons, etc. faster and more convenient. I made these modifications right at setup. But, these upgrades can be done at any time. It has certainly improved my car detaining experience.

Used this with work when my company bought one so I thought I'd buy one off here for home. Amazing electric power washer and the turbo attachment is a bonus. Just make sure you have good water pressure especially if you're going to be attaching 100' of hose or more...I have 125' of hose but good water pressure and this thing works flawlessly. Also remember to wait a couple minutes till the tank fills up before you start using it and completley drain it before storing it especially before winter.

Karcher K1700 pressure washer: Assembly is very easy -- wheels and handle. If you just use the supplied hose then screw it on to the outlet and onto the spray nozzle. Screw the garden hose adapter on and screw a garden hose on. Plug it in and it should work, mine did. I bought a Karcher because a review by Pan the Organizer who said his Karcher K5 lasted 10 years and still works but it was time to get a new pressure washer. As I recall he thought Karcher had a superior pump. I watched a couple reviews of the K-1700 as well. So, as I had no idea and the K-1700 seemed what I was looking for, I bought it. I have light work -- a small cement patio, some siding and vehicles. Note that the high-pressure fittings are M22-14 not M22-15 as many electric pressure washers use so I ended up ordering another set. I knew the foam cannon used M22-14 when I bought it. I didn't see any reference to the fittings in the Karcher manual or brochure. I did see that some Karcher products fit the K2 or K5 but not the K-1700 but was left to assume why. I guess Karcher wants us to buy their brand. I added some quick disconnect fittings. I had a leak on the appliance end of the pressure hose. It seemed the o-ring on the hose is too large and was pushed down when I inserted/screwed the quick disconnect on. I took an o-ring off another fitting and the same thing happened. I then added a garden hose washer to the supplied pressure hose fitting after cutting it down so it fit and replaced the o-ring with a piece of Teflon packing "string" which fit into the o-ring groove perfectly. I used silicon grease to get it to stay put. No leaks. I was testing with a car wash foam cannon which worked very well and produced a persistent snow foam coating. The pressure hose went onto the pressure washer without any leaks. The garden hose adapter leaked some, but I didn't tighten with a wrench which I'll do next time. I ordered another quick connect set for the high pressure fitting on the K-1700 and a couple different sets of o-rings to have on-hand. The electric cord wraps nicely on the supplied handle arms. CONS: 1. Nozzle storage is limited to two regular nozzles and one hybrid rotating type nozzle (as supplied). So, I don't have a place to put other nozzles except in a bag in the storage box. 2. No built-in good way to keep the supplied pressure hose coiled neatly on the unit. The hose is a little stiff and making it fit in the storage box may not work well or conveniently and being slick plastic will likely push out. I added a piece of PVC pipe that went through the handle and that keeps the pressure hose coiled up around the handle and the storage bin. I'll fit it with some closed cell foam to keep it in place as I want to be able to remove it. My initial impression is that I think the supplied hose will work for me but time will tell if a longer, more flexible hose will be needed. The K1700 seems like a good unit overall particularly for the price. I cannot see paying lots for something I don't expect to use that often. Winter storage: per the manual, be sure to run it out of water. It seems that water runs out when I tilt it to the inlet fitting but the manual said to run it until just out of water. I think I can handle that.
