Amazing product. Stained a small pressure treated picnic table. Beads water, no staining on clothes. Not much prep for me. I did a light sand to get started and a light sand in between just two coats total.

You have tried the rest, now use the best. Cannot say enough about Cabot Australian Timber Oil - Honey Teak. Been using this for years on all outdoor furniture from a homemade wood rack bar to teak steamer deck chairs. You will not find a better oil stain to protect your wood. Easy to apply. Low oder. One quart goes a long way. Nuff said! BUY IT!

We used this on a cypress porch swing. My wife applied the finish and said it was pretty easy. She does not have a lot of finishing experience. It was applied over a two year old teak marine oil finish that got a light sanding. The teak oil finish was mostly gone after two years. The wood is cypress, a moderately hard conifer softwood. One quart was enough to provide two coats. The finish leaves a thin surface film/coating, not a purely penetrating oil finish. The finish is mostly matt with the slightest gloss. Applied with a fine bristle brush the finish left no brush marks. It looks nice with no wear to speak of after one summer of exposure. One should not expect to get more than a couple years out of any clear outdoor finish like this that gets much sun exposure. I am interested to see what it looks like after a second summer.

The can came still usable but very dented. A sticker was inconveniently placed over the directions Haven’t used it yet
