I had been looking for a compost that was inconspicuous, slim,sealed so no odor and this was the perfect fit for what I wanted. It comes with compost bags so no cleaning the canister after is needed. It is on my counter now but I do plan on hanging it up . It holds a good amount of compost and I am able to leave the food in there for weeks without any odor.

This container works as well as it looks. The bags that came with it fit perfectly and there is absolutely no smell. This canister replaced a plastic one I kept under my sink until I couldn’t take it anymore. The dog kept nosing the top of it off when the doors were open. It’s made well and will look sharp for some time. I keep this on my countertop now and am very happy with it.

I resisted buying this because it seemed expensive for a small container, but it really looks lovely. I'm an avid gardener and have a voracious army of worms who make me wonderful vermipost (black gold) from my veggie scraps, leaves, and paper, etc. I had been collecting my scraps in a bowl, but got tired of looking at half rotten veggies and coffee grounds. I looked at other compost bins, but they appeared bulky and too big. This one really is attractive and convenient to use.

Pros: The recycling bin is fantastic. Great design. Lid opens and stays open while you scrape. Closes softly but quickly. Slides close to the wall and is both accessible and out of the way...and it looks good! Cons: Nothing with the bin. The compostable bags that Simplehuman includes are...yes...garbage. They tear while just opening them. I tried to open them slowly, the bags still tore. Seven tries and seven torn bags. So the Compost bin is great. However, make sure to buy a different compost bag at the time of purchase. The Simplehuman bags are SimpleAwful.

I love this sleek compost mini bin. It fits under my sink perfectly and stays odor free. I also love that simple human makes a perfectly sized bag to go in it.

When kitchen recycling became mandatory in NYC, I thought I would hate it. Too much trouble, and where would I find space in my small city kitchen? But I got this container and now I actually love composting. It sits right on my counter, taking very little space, and I can deposit peels and pits and eggshells and such just inches from my kitchen work area--no more peels landing on the floor by my big garbage can. Trader Joe produce bags fit just fine so I don't even need to buy special bags. Since most of the stuff that gets stinky goes in here, my bigger garbage stays fresh much longer (unless I have plastic with fish or chicken essence on them). The biodegradable bags are delicate and porous, so I deliver them to the building bin in the green insert to safeguard against any splitting or leaking bag disasters. I have noticed that the green inner bin collects clear, odorless liquid that must seep through the biodegradable plastic, so I just rinse it before putting in a new bag. I love the green insert and the fact that the lid stays up when you want it to and down when you want it tightly shut. Also, the compostable bag doesn't show when this bin is assembled (I tried another where it did show and it didn't look nice). So far I haven't noticed any odors, even after days with veggie and animal refuse marinating in there--maybe because the lid limits how much air gets in. Urban composting is really no hassle after all, and actually a plus, thanks to this nicely designed bin.

We have been composting for 4 years now, being lucky enough to live in a city that does curbside compost pickup. One major benefit of composting is that **our trash has stopped smelling bad.** It's an incredible perk. HOWEVER. To actualize this benefit, you need a compost bin with HOLES in the lid. People keep thinking they want an airtight bin to keep odors out of the kitchen, and product companies market to uninformed consumers, resulting in this ridiculous product from Simple Human. That's NOT how compost works. Food stinks as it rots when it decomposes anaerobically, ie without oxygen, ie what happens when you have a lid without air holes. Like this one. So: After 4 years of enjoying an odor-free kitchen, every time I open this tiny bin, I reel, because it STINKS. And right now it's less than a quarter full, and the food has been there for ONE night only. (Notice that others who don't have a problem with odor note that they have no problem *when the lid is closed.* With a good compost bin, you shouldn't have a problem when the lid is open either.) We bought this originally to match the stainless steel of our kitchen appliances, but it is ABSOLUTELY NOT worth the cost of 1. Extra odor, and 2. Having to take the compost out more frequently because of smaller bin capacity. We will stick with our city-provided bin until some product company smartens up and makes a proper bin with air holes.

simplehumanのダストボックスは3代目でずっと愛用しています。現在、生ゴミ用は15Lですが、毎日ゴミ出しする捨てるわけではないので、生ゴミをそのまま捨てるとどうしても悪臭になってしまいます。そのため、一旦生ゴミを毎回スーパーにあるような薄いビニール入れて、それからゴミ箱に捨てていました。面倒だな〜と思っていたところ、シンプルヒューマンにこの「コンポストキャディ４L」という商品を見つけ購入しました。すごい！今までなら半日で臭くなる生ゴミが2日経っても匂いません。バナナの皮やフルーツの皮は臭わないけど、さすがに刺身のツマやキッチンシンクのゴミ受けに溜まったゴミは臭うだろうと思っていたら、抱え込んで嗅がないと臭いを感じません。本当に楽になりました。その上、大きなダストボックスの側面に取り付けることができます。２０２４年、買って一番良かった品です。

Complementa muy bien con otros productos de la marca Simplehuman pues viene con un adaptador para “colgarlo” a un costado de otros botes de basura grandes/dobles de la marca. Tiene precio un poco elevado para un bote de basura pero lo compensan su gran calidad y diseño. Por lo que hace a la durabilidad, los productos de esta marca son muy resistentes y se mantienen funcionales por más de 10 años, con un cuidado o mantenimiento mínimo-nulo. Lo mejor es que tiene un tamaño ideal para una o dos personas (4L), así ya sólo tienes que cambiar la bolsa 1 vez a la semana. Usa bolsas compostables Código Z de Simplehuman (viene 30 bolsas de regalo) pero puedes utilizar de marca genérica de 45x45cm y le quedan bastante bien.

Adoro o produto dou 5 Estrelas a qualidade é ótima. Só tenho pena que na Amazon Es não esteja disponível o caixote lixo de sensor e com voz.
