If my mold is plastic, will this work? Does this spray melt plastic when sprayed?

No it wont melt plastic.... but if your using plastic as you mold for epoxy, epoxy doesn't stick to plastic to begin with as long as the surface is smooth, if it's rough I'd try to smooth it out before I use the PVA. All PVA is is fancy hair spray with blue dye in it so you can see where you've coated with it. You can use several coats of hair spray from Wal Mart in a bind. But the best mold release I've found so far, other than the 20 dollar top shelf spray mold release that I think is way over priced is the SC Johnson Paste wax.....I've never had any problem using it and it's 5 bucks and lasts a long time. I've used the Blaster spray dry lubricant with Teflon with good results but you have to spray several coats on anything you use it on, if you use just one coat your going to have to fight it out the mold and risk slicing your hand open on the sharp edges. The main thing you have to consider is if it's going to interact with your epoxy and make it change to cloudy or will it break down and throw trash in your clear epoxy. If I were u I'd just use the sc johnson paste wax from any hardware store. Just be sure u do a few coats and polish in between. Your mold will release alot better if it's nice and smooth like melted butter.

It's not toxic as long as it's not ingested or left on the skin for a long time. It is alcohol and polyvinyl and water. Nontoxic but can irritate skin if left on for to long. And of course you don't want to get it in your eyes or mouth, even tho it won't hurt you if it is other than a upset stomach maybe.
