The perfect addition to my MMCX modded Koss Portapros
I've been using Koss Portapros or some variant of them (RadioShack Pro 25/35) since I was 10 years old in 1996. I was really excited when they came out with a bluetooth variant, but I broke 3 pairs of them in a year and a half due to the somewhat clunky "wired wireless" design. Instead of buying a 4th pair I looked into modding them since I knew they could be better. First, I soldered and epoxied in some MMCX adapters and just bought a nice wire, but my modern phone doesn't have a headphone jack! ...So when I found out that a product like this existed I was ecstatic! I also watched a handful of folks review these on Youtube and most had really good things to say about it, so I gave it a shot -- It's only been one day so far but I'm really happy with them! This is how Koss should have implemented their bluetooth portapros. o The call sound quality is better than any other bluetooth adapter I've EVER used. o The audio sound quality is outstanding -- enough so that I can tell a difference between my own Mp3s and music from streaming services o They are at least as loud as my wired Portapros ever were plugged straight into my phone. o Probably specific to Koss Portapros but this device provides stronger bass and sounds a little less bright than the factory Koss bluetooth adapter. I think this is because these have a much better & stronger internal amplifier. It will take me some time to get used to this, but I think the sound is more true to the original audio! I use my headphones for at least 12 hours every day and am always very particular about such things, so I will update this review if anything changes! They are at least as loud as my wired portapros were

Clean your contacts for charging if you sweat
I paired this with mee audio p1 pinnacles. They don't get crazy loud but they are 53ohm iem and I had to get an amplifier from fiio before these came out and it was louder but comfort and like 7 hours battery life at max volume. Can be independently used for really if you use one and swap near the end of the work day you will still be good. Do wish it had more customizable controls with the buttons or more buttons, like when you're wearing the left you can't turn the volume up, only down. Sound quality is great if you have some good iem to pair with them they do drop connection sometimes repeatedly. Sometimes I go all day and for several days no problem. Would still recommend

Best solution for True Wireless IEMs (Also USB-C)
If you are looking for a true wireless solution that isn't an all-in-one package this in the one. You can swap out whatever expensive IEMs you have. I bought the MMCX version and you can get a 2-pin adapter. Works fine. Obviously don't expect it to be as good sound quality as a cable but it's more than acceptable and these can't break the laws of physics. Battery is good, they are well built, I swap out some of my cheaper IEMs and use this in the gym with no issues. I've also never had any disconnect issues, even across my apartment or when I leave my phone in a different room. Other reviews mention a few problems but honestly I think this is a new version as it is USB-C and not micro USB which was a massive plus. I've used previous devices like this in the past and honestly this blows them all out of the water. IMO this is currently the best solution available and at the price it's a no-brainer if you like proper IEMs. Only downside is the app is kinda meh, but I rarely go in it unless it's to update the firmware and it's far from a dealbreaker, only room for improvement.

Does not make sense for most people
Turning your favorite IEMs into TWS sounds awesome, but I don't think the UTWS3 fulfills that desire. First of all, the case is HUGE. It's going to be hard to put this into your pocket and if you can pocket it, there's room for nothing else. Getting a Bluetooth DAC and short MMCX cable is much more portable than this. The Bluetooth connection seems to be OK, but pairing is a bit weird. When you're trying to pair this up with your device, you'll see both the left and right side as separate devices. You only need to pair one side which will make it the master, the other side becomes the slave. There is no multipoint Bluetooth unlike the BTR series from FiiO which is a huge letdown. When it comes to sound, they sound pretty good. There is no aptX HD which isn't the end of the world, but at this price I would have expected support for higher fidelity codecs. Functionality leaves a bit to desire. The controls are just weird, but you probably could get used to them. Pausing and resuming have separate triggers whereas most TWS has the same action to toggle playback. Volume control is nice, but it doesn't control your device's volume. Overall, the UTWS3 makes way too many compromises. It's clunky so not really portable, it lacks the nice bells and whistles many TWS have, and it's pricey. If they can shrink down the case, it might be easier to justify, but as is it's not worth it.

QC Issues. Left earhook has many problems.
When they work, they work well. Unfortunately, there appears to be quality control issues. Left earhook will intermittently have horrible sound quality, disconnect, and even completely crash, causing it to be 100% unresponsive and wont respond until being placed in charging case overnight. Appears to be something wrong with the circuit board inside it. Sound control works ok. Like many BT headphones, they have a sound control independent of the device sound control. If the bt headphone sound is set to max, there is more noticeable distortion of audio. If you accidentally hold the sound up button for too long while sound is maxed out, the device will sometimes start beeping repeatedly without stopping. The only way to stop it is to turn them off which causes them to crash. This appears to be a firmware bug. Additionally, the app is horrible. It requires dozens of tries to get it to connect. It is not fully translated either. Connecting to Bluetooth on windows devices is also a pain. My laptop straight up refuses to connect to them. I had to use an external USB Bluetooth module to connect to them. Device shows promise. If you want to take the risk and they end up working for you, its a good value. If they dont work correctly, expect little help troubleshooting as the company does not publish much support info in English.

Great Find
I use this with the Shure 215 earbud. As a stage user I really like the headphones and these wireless adapters are an excellent fit. They have built in microphones, which though not the best they are sufficient. I like that I can connect in either earbud or headset mode to maximize bandwidth based on my priority. I sometimes find the wireless audio quality subpar - especially when connected as headsets - as well as overcompressed. I also like being able to connect only one earbud at a time. I have been using these for over a year and would definitely buy these again.

2 Stars because it is very quirky and not in a good way
These adapters provide great sound quality, they are comfortable and provide adequate noise cancellation. However, the adapters are so quirky in their functionality that rating them above 2 stars would be doing Fiio and people considering these a disservice. The issues I frequently experience are, they do not always charge when they are in the case. They randomly turn on inside the case and drain the battery. The auto turn off when put back in the case feature is unreliable. I have to turn on one headset before the other or it connects to my phone weird. Lots of quirks. I've gotten used to them but its a hassle and I would not buy these again nor recommend them to someone who wants something that will just work.

Great bluetooth solution
This is my current favorite bluetooth receiver for my FiiO FA7 and FH5 buds. The sound is great and the battery life is very good. You will need to download the FiiO Control app to customize the max volume range as the default is very low. I had a hard time initially finding the UTWS3 receiver with my iPhone, but once I enabled the FiiO Control app to access bluetooth it was very easy to find, and I have not had any connection issues. For those unaware, when you download the FiiO Control app, immediately go to iPhone Settings and scroll down until you find "FiiO Control", open and enable Bluetooth access.

Used with Shure SE425 in ear buds
These work as expected, I had no dropouts, sound quality was good. Not the most discrete wireless adapters, however they do stay inplace. I have used whilst working out but be cautious when putting back into case and wipe of any excess water/sweat from the contacts. Also not a specific FiiO issue but had a problem with the Shures getting moisture in whilst working out so make sure what ever buds you use can handle the sweat etc.

Exelent sound - rubbish mic
Mic ruins it. You literally have to yell to be audible. No calls with this one I have good Bluetooth on my phone + not the most very demanding monitors. Those guys feel at home there, bought it recently, there's a newer model.
