NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Lift & Snatch Eyebrow Tint Pen, Black

I'm not going for unnatural, perfectly groomed eyebrows, although this product can certainly put a beautiful finishing touch on those, too. I have a skin condition that has resulted in inflammation with redness and loss of irregular, shifting patches of hair from my eyebrows. After putting a dab of concealer on the red spot, I can easily take this pen and draw in the missing brow hairs, and no one is the wiser. Before finding this product, I was using Wet n Wild black eyeliner with a really fine tip, but it was very difficult to control the amount of product, and easy to end up with thick, very intensely black lines. My hair is a dark brown with some grey in it, but eye products labeled "brown" are all too warm. It took me three tries to get the right color of this NYX Lift & Snatch pen. The Grey-Black was close, but not intense enough. The Ash Brown is decidedly cooler that any other brown I have used, and not bad, but a little too intense, and not as close a color match to my own eyebrows as the grey-black . The Black is just right. It is more of a brown-black, and has just the right amount of color saturation. Since I'm not doing my whole eyebrow, it's really important that the color match my brow hairs, and this one nails it. The pen is also very easy to control, unlike the eyeliner. With the right touch, I can match the thickness of the line to the thickness of my brow hairs. If I go lighter I can make it even finer, or I can go heavier and make it thicker. I don't know how waterproof it is, but I haven't had any problems with smudging, and as long as I don't pick at flaking skin, it lasts to the next day. It washes off easily in the shower. With any of these pens, as with Sharpies or any other felt tip marker, be sure to snap the cap on all the way and store with the tip down, to prevent the tip drying out prematurely. I love this product.

I love how this looks like an eyeliner pencil but in reality it’s an eyebrow pencil! Such a step up from my old eyebrow pencil. It’s extremely fine tip creates naturally beautiful hair like strokes that enhance your eyebrows and you can fill areas as needed I love it!

This eyebrow pencil has been my favorite for a long time. The best part is that one pencil lasts me several months, so for the price I honestly think this product is absolutely worth it. I’ve tried other eyebrow pencils before but this is the one that works best for me. When you take your time and make fine strokes, the result looks very natural, and you can really mimic the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs instead of making it look like your eyebrows are simply drawn on I’ve already purchased this pencil six times and I use it every day, so I feel like I have enough experience with it to say that I will definitely keep buying it. One little tip I’ve discovered: when the tip starts to feel a little dry and I notice that the product isn’t applying with the same intensity, I shake the pencil well. Somehow this makes the tip moist again and allows it to work like it did before. I’m also going to include a photo of my eyebrows so you can see what the result actually looks like on a real person. Alright, let’s hope this product stays juicy for a while cause it’s great! Maybe storing it face down so the tip stays saturated for longer would help? I got the Ash brown and it matches perfectly. It creates fine hair like strokes. I have no tails in my brows and this makes my drawn on tails look pretty realistic.

I have no eye brows except maybe six sparce hairs on each eye. I finally found a product that works well for me. The color is great and I love how you can make tiny hair strokes that look natural. The pen doesn't put out too much or little product at once, but a perfect amount. It stays all day. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's not exactly waterproof or smudge proof. It doesn't advertise as waterproof which is why I am still giving it 5 stars.

I shave my eyebrows off for the most part because they barely grow in to begin with, so this pen has changed my life and eyebrow game by a million percent. It's by FAR the best thing I have ever purchased. I actually have it on subscribe and save, lol. You can be as detailed as you want with it- different pressure will make things look lighter/darker. I just get it in black. Espresso is my second choice, but had a bit too much of a warm tone for my liking. The photos I added are both using black. I just draw them on lightly at first to get a shape going then go over them.

This item is actually very good for staying power and ease of application - it lasts all day and looks great. I took off one star because the little pens are so difficult to pull open, and every single time I pull off the cap, the product leaks all over my fingers and table. And since it's made for staying on, it's really hard to wash off the leaked color and it stains anything it comes in contact with. I also took off one star because I ordered two colors - soft brown and taupe - and both were much much darker than the picture shows. I know that screens can make colors vary, but these products were excessively darker than the pictures. I have light brown hair, and both taupe and soft brown were much too dark - taupe was even darker than soft brown. I also tried Revlon ColorStay 5-in-1 Semi-Permanent Brow Ink in Blonde, which is a similar product. It was truer to the color in the photo and a much better match for light brown hair than the NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Lift & Snatch Eyebrow Tint Pen colors that I tried.

But I'm so happy with it so far that I'm reviewing it anyway in case it helps anyone with no eyebrows at all. I have basically none. I pull them out. The pics are on oily skin at maybe 3 p.m. and again after work at about 11 p.m. I bravely wore these to work even though it's 100°f outside and even though they might disappear or turn green. They didn't! I forgot to take a fully done pic but I wanted to show--there's basically no eyebrow, it's all pen except like 8 hairs lol I just got this pen today and I've used it one time. It's Espresso. It's summer now and I'm extremely oily even in the cold months. I started out with an oily face today, since I did brows in the afternoon. I didn't use any powder or primer or anything. I wasn't sweaty or damp when I put it on, just oily. It may be an issue using this in a humid room after showering These pics are way TMI for me lol but I wanted people to see how this works on textured/rough skin with no real hair, just like 5 o'clock black eyebrow shadow. The pen color is great, I have dark dark chestnut hair with a silver stripe and light light yellowish skin with red spots. It's almost my natural brow hair color. I usually use Wet n Wild micro pencils in brunette because it's such a good color and it's so hard for me to find stuff that works on my oily textured skin. But it is really hard to get the inside corners right, it can't do real hairline strokes, and it settles into my wrinkles and smears. The hair texture is giving CGI cat fur or turf, lol. But it's my first time doing it. My impression is that the brush is too soft. It's really hard to do straight strokes especially on my left side (I'm very right handed). They come out a little wiggly. Still 5000x better than usual though You have to use a light hand; be mindful, intentional and slow; and start each "hair" in a strategic spot, you can't just randomly flick lol. I figured that out pretty quick but it's hard to control. Also I'd see a white spot/line I'd try to cover it and the soft brush would curve or bend and not cover the white spot. Like if you have any high spots the brush may go around them. I had to go back in and carefully cover white spots with like the very very very tiptop of the brush. But still, again, first time! And it took under 15 min. If you start the hairs in random spots instead of strategically it looks more bushy and grassy lol. They're definitely not perfect but you have no idea how much better they look, and the process is WAY less stressful and mistakes are easier to fix. It's way easier to draw on hairs than to try to ombre a wax pencil. It's way easier to manage the depth of the color by just adding hairs and covering more skin I wish so bad that it were waterproof! I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop lol so I'm guessing I'll have to come back and lower my rating but I'm really hoping not

I loved this. Easy to apply and fortunately I choose the right color. I am using Benefit eyebrow color number 3 and this Brunette looks a little darker but looks good on me. Hope this information helps for those looking to replace the expensive Benefit eyebrow pencil.
