I’ve owned streamlight and surefire lights in the past and they are good lights. But I have had my Fenix for several years and it is my favorite and at lower cost. I bought my dad one and he loved it and used it everyday for years until he lost it. So this latest one was a replacement and I got the one with the direct rechargeable battery so he can charge it more easily in the truck. This one also has higher lumens than the previous one.

This is actually a really good flashlight. The tail switch turns out on and off and the side switch goes through the different modes. It also has memory so it turns on in the same mode you turned it off in. I'm a little upset if costs so much but it's a really nice flashlight and it's easy to carry.

Love the 1000 lumens. Lights up my backyard while looking for snakes. The red filter is great for lighting up a path while on the way back from hiking. Great solid flashlight.
