Would this work on motor oil like stains?

I do not know, but I do know that this is the best carpet cleaner I have found I would recommend it to anybody. I would put some Dawn dish soap on it and mix it with the carpet cleaner and try that. Dawn soap is supposed to be good on oil stains.

how much do I need to clean a sectional?

I have cleaned 2 sections of my sectional and a reclining chair seat and have used less than half the bottle

Would this work on chair cushion seats?

Yes I used them they worked nicely but I don’t think it would work if your stain is huge and old I guess.
