I've used it for rings and earrings for three years! - I have had my cabinet for three years and am here to buy one for my sister who loved it when she saw it in my extra room. I use this cabinet for rings and earrings. It has 64 drawers that fit a number of rings or earrings and the drawers, while not clear, are see through so I at least know somewhat what I have in them. I have it set up so the rings are on the left side and the earrings (mostly posts and smaller fishooks) are on the right. I further have it so that gold is on the top and silver is on the bottom. I have some mixed metals and things so I have a row for them. This cabinet has held up perfectly for me. The drawers don't pull out and topple over when I pull on them. They have a stopper which is a big relief. I would be dropping all my stuff everywhere otherwise. Each drawer holds a number of items and I can either put similar pieces together or even put a set together so I can just reach in and pull out matching earrings and a ring. I have never had the unit tip over forward or backwards and it is not affixed to anything. It is free standing on a dresser. It's not dainty or pretty but it gets the job done and holds so much that I don't have to have a million little boxes everywhere. This is for my fashion rings and earrings. I have more protective jewelry boxes for higher end things but this is perfect for all those inexpensive rings and stud or small wired earrings I picked up over the years. Love it and have had no issues with it. I don't mind that it has no drawer dividers. I just toss two or three rings in one drawer and pull out the one(s) I want to wear. **Q: How many drawer dividers are provided?**
A: There are 4 of the large dividers and 8 of the small dividers in the back frame. These can be a bit tricky to remove, but they aren't necessary as support or to keep the drawers in.You can find more of the large drawer dividers on Amazon under ASIN B003BVK8K2If you need more dividers for the smaller drawers, they can be found on Amazon under ASIN B0009FHJVY

**Q: Do the drawers click or lock into place.  If I knocked it over would everything spill out?**
A: There are stop tabs at the back of the drawer to keep them from coming out in your hand when opened. In my opinion if it were knocked over, you would have some drawers open and those items spill out. This might also require replacement drawers, if any are damaged in the fall.

**Q: confuse with dimensions; anyone know length, width and height of this? many thanks.**
A: Outside dimensions are a little ambiguous because corners are radiuses and the frame is slightly flexible. What is completely maddening is this is the second generation of a product family and I had studs set in the wall to hang these organizers on the wall. Although the nominal outside dimensions are exactly the same, the precise dimensions of the brackets on the back have changed slightly. Since I couldn't reposition all of the studs on my wall, I had to break out a Dremel tool and enlarge all of the mounting holes slightly to make the new organizers mount on the same wall with the older ones. They look exactly the same on the front, but they don't mount the same. Grrrrrr.

Very big and good organizer, came in a lil scuffed up but it was just aesthetic damage, the draws came in perfect. I use this to store my sanitized needles, clamps, and jewelry for piercing and it holds everything pretty comfy! Pretty easy to organize with labels and can store lots of things.
