although its a quality material and hold very strong, unfortunately phone moves downwards and face to ground making impossible to view. tried everything including making less slippery on the ball. but no luck!

Great base. This magnet on the bottom is very strong and holds my iPhone 7 easily (the socket piece on the phone is a different story) , but that is another review. This also has a soft silicone ring on the bottom to prevent the mount from scratching whatever surface it is attached too. I like this base mount better than the regular steelie because you can take it from your car to your truck, to your tool box, to the golf cart or wherever you need it. The base magnet is plenty strong to hold a phone vertical without slipping at all.
