Good lower dosage vitamin C
I was looking for a lower dose vitamin C. This one is a perfect fit at a good price. Pills are not too large or chalky. Easy to swallow. No upset stomach or after effects at all. I recommend these if you don’t want the typical 500 to 1000 mg dosage.

At 250 mg. per tablet, this product has one of the lowest available supplement levels of vitamin-C. The 250 mg. level is listed as 278% of the Daily Value needed for a healthy diet. The tablets are scored and can be split easily in half to reach and slightly exceed a daily consumption requirement. The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for “sufficient” consumption of this vitamin is approximately 75 mg. for adult women and 90 mg. for adult men. These allowance levels are published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Other ingredients contained in this product appear to be be safe for consumption in low quantities over long period of time and many, but not all, appear on the GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) List issued by the FDA. Vitamin-C, as Ascorbic Acid, is an essential vitamin that is found concentrated in several citrus products (e.g., oranges and juice), and it is a necessary nutrient to support a variety of processes in the human body. This vitamin can not be synthesized by humans, and this fact is the reason why regular consumption of citrus products and/or supplements is necessary. Mega-consumption of vitamin-C supplements does not appear to provide any added health benefits. Yet, a prolonged underconsumption of the vitamin would lead eventually to some serious health problems. Most people consuming a balanced diet should not worry about a deficiency, and a little added supplement each day would support an optimum level and not be harmful.
