This jump starter is honestly one of the best things I’ve purchased for my car. It’s compact, easy to store, and incredibly powerful—I was able to start my car quickly without needing help, which gave me so much peace of mind. The instructions are simple, and everything feels well-made and reliable. I also love that it has extra features like charging devices, making it even more useful on the go. This is one of those items you hope you don’t need often, but when you do, it’s absolutely a lifesaver. I highly recommend it to anyone who drives.

I’ve got the AVAPOW A28 jump starter in both the 2000A and 3000A versions, and I’ve bought a total of 6. The 3000A version is especially impressive because it can actually jump-start my RAM 3500 dually. I’ve had to do that 6 times on a single charge when both of my truck’s batteries were dead. (Replacing both of those things is crazy expensive, so this jump starter was a lifesaver.) Normally, I wouldn’t expect something this compact to handle such a heavy-duty job, but this thing does it with no problem. What I Love: FORCE START FUNCTION: If it doesn't start the car right away, just press the force button for 3 seconds, and boom—you're good to go. This feature has come in handy for me a couple of times and has worked every time. Before I purchased this jump starter, I read many reviews and the promotional material made available by the vendor. I was impressed by most of the reviews and the apparent features of the unit. The only thing that wasn't clear was whether or not the unit had "boost" capability or manual override (in the event that the car battery is completely dead). I was getting ready for a long road trip and really wanted a jump unit to take on the road, so I bought this unit hoping that the boost capability was supported. Unfortunately, after receiving the unit and giving it a close inspection, it doesn't appear to have the boost feature. I was disappointed because everything else about the unit, and its associated price, were so good... I wasn't sure there was anything I could do about it, but return the unit upon my return home, But I thought I'd reach out to the vendor and see what they could do (I can at least do this from the road). Much to my shock and pleasant surprise, the vendor was instantly responsive and addressed my concern. They said that they were sorry for any confusion, but that the unit I bought didn't have the "boost" feature because it was distributed with an older jumper-cable design. They said they would immediately send me the current cable set, and that the new cables do have the "forced jump" boost feature incorporated into their design. When I got home I was very pleased to find the new cables waiting for me. The cables have a much smaller footprint than the original set that I received with my unit, but that makes them much easier to store and transport. The only thing that still concerned me was that I didn't see any switch or button on the cable unit that would allow me to turn the boost function on. After additional communication with the vendor, I learned that the forced-boost function is actually incorporated into the design of the new cables and, as such, functions only when needed. I haven't had to use the new set for a forced "jump" yet (and ideally, maybe I never will), but given the vendor's responsiveness, support, consideration and eagerness to satisfy my concerns, I'm reasonably confident that this "power bank/jump starter" will give me what I expect and need. Whether it ultimately does or doesn't, the customer service I received from the vendor was superior! A+

I bought this jumper with the hopes of jumping my spare truck! Jumper arrived within 24 hours and as soon as the Amazon driver dropped it off I went work! Jumper has a hard case and out of the box the jumper had three out of four power bars. I felt that should be enough juice and went outside to get to work! The battery was so dead that the power locks did NOTHING when I hit the button. I manually opened the door and there were NO lights...not even the green back light for the odometer came on!(This light ALWAYS comes on...no matter how dead the battery...until now...this battery was DEAD dead!) Popped the hood, plugged the jumper cables into the unit, connected to the battery, hit the power button on the unit, jumped in the driver seat...TRUCK STARTED UP IMMEDIATELY!!! I tried driving, but the battery didn't have enough juice to drive right away. Let it idle/charge for 10 minutes and took it for a drive. After driving for 2 miles came home, shut off the truck, dead as a doornail again! I plan on replacing this cheap Walmart Value battery, but the fact that this unit started the truck with this DEAD POS battery blows my mind and is a testament to how much of a punch this unit packs!

I have experienced a few dead batteries and had to have a tow come out to jumpstart the vehicle. I noticed many had one of these jumpers and used them to start the car. I purchased this particular model, and it was the best money I have spent on a recent product! Each time I have used it, it has immediately started the vehicle with no problems at all. I am actually still working on the factory charge the jumpstarted came with and I have used it about 4 times. This is very easy to use. It also has a spot to charge your phone or other device which would come in handy if you were in a situation where you did not have a way to charge up your phone. It comes with a nice case to store the jumpstarter in. My only con is the leads from the unit to the end cable is pretty short, so you have to make sure to position the unit the right way when doing the jump but once in the right spot it attaches just fine to the engine and works great! This is worth the investment to have on hand.

Incredible customer support, works great

I had high hopes after looking at the reviews on here. I thought I’d get one of those cheaper ones, with great reviews I thought there’d be nothing to worry about. The positive clamp fell apart on the third use, the clamps are tiny and very flimsy compared to just a small 500 Amp NOCO, imagine. All of my battery starters and chargers/maintainers are NOCO, I really care for electronics and devices, I never store them in the car or outdoors. I only used this Avapow starter 3 times (not even 5 mins total for all times together handling the device and using it) to start a 1972 Buick Riviera GS, 455 cu in (7.5 L) V8, it failed the first time because the battery was so gone, the second time (months later) it barely got the ignition starter run, perhaps I needed to get more than the 3000 amp model, the third time (months later as well) the positive (red) clamp broke, it just snapped into two separate pieces, the metal on the inside of the plastic moulds came apart so now I have two separate red plastic moulds. It fell apart because the clamps are just very very very small, they need to be at full opening distance to clamp onto the battery terminals with the cables connected to the battery terminals, in order to clamp on, the clamp would be open to its maximum opening distance and that must’ve stressed the parts until they snapped (the metal inside snapped). I’ve used jump starters/boosters from several manufacturers, I never needed to remove car cables off of the battery terminals to clamp on my starters, they all had big clamps, it is a hassle to 1) unscrew and remove the car cables, 2) clamp, 3) start, and theeeeen 4) remove the clamps and turn off the jump starter, it’s supposed to be a quick fix quick starter for convenience, had the clamps been a little bit sturdier or bigger or big and heavy duty like NOCO’s clamps I wouldn’t have had any issues. Will try to find a third party that sells better clamps, haven’t found replacements from this company on Amazon. I really wanted this device to reflect the reviews I found here though.
