IS THIS GRATER DISHWASHER SAFE?

I wash my grater in dishwasher after use with out any issues. I had mine for over 5 years now and still growing strong.

I want this mainly for grating onions. Has anyone tried that?

You probably can use it for that since the size of the grader is pretty big I strikely use for cheese good luck and let us know how it works out

Can I buy just the rubber rim for the bottom off the greater? it cracked after afew uses

I don't see one available, but possibly contact Kitchenaid and see if there's a warentee or replacement parts. Or it also looks like the grsyer is ½ off right now around $16, and thats probably what you would pay for a new pad/bumper. You could also get or place your grater on a silicone non stick baking mat to not have it slide around.
