This is really well made butter bell and it keep the butter perfectly.

I absolutely love this butter keeper. It is beautiful, functional and great quality. The lighter color marble I chose is perfect for my kitchen and I t looks lovely on the counter. I pour a teaspoon of water in the bottom and change it every few days. The butter stays smooth and cool in the container. No need to refrigerate the butter. It arrived very quickly and was extremely well packaged.I take negative reviews and comments with a grain of salt. They can usually be attributed to user errors. For example one person complained of mold. The answer to that is simple. Always wash hands before handling so as to not introduce bacteria to the container. Use a clean butter knife and never double dip. Use a good quality butter and it will stay fresh and soft. Don’t pour too much water where it touches the butter. Another person’s complaint was that the inside where the butter goes was not smooth like the outside of the container. There’s a practical reason for that. The butter would slide down and then the complaint would be that the butter slipped!
