No. These pads don't burn or blur eyes after use. I've chosen them because they are so gentle on my eyes.

are the pads biodegradeable?

I do not know, I always put in trash can. Thought they were a waste of money, since makeup remover pads also take off eye make up. Stopped buying this brand when I realized they were not a cruelty-free product.
