Blades are 3 inches long. With a blade straight up height is just under 12 inches tall. Just an FYI the gearbox is a little loud, so if you want a quiet one look for a different one.

does it rotate fast like a fan or slow like real windmills?

Much slower than a fan and quiet. Purchased for my autistic granddaughter who loves the windmill farms. She will watch as long as the battery lasts! Well worth the $$$ to see her light up.

how long is its battery life? need to use this for a project and was wondering how many shifts i have to take to change out the batteries
