What is the grit of this stone?

According to the micron chart on The Gritomatic website the Medium Stone is approximately 800-1000-grit,  Fine is 2,000-3,000,  Ultra fine 4,000-5,000 JIS grit.

When you get your blade to the sharpness that it is time to use the Ultra Fine triangle stone about how many stroke on average do it take to finish?

I use 40 or more strokes - at least two sets of 20 with every other stroke on the opposite side (i.e. stroke #1 on the right, stroke #2 on the left, and so on). Also, when I get to using the Ultra Fine Triangle stones, I  taper off on the pressure I use, using lighter strokes the more strokes I use (although I don't have any scientific evidence to back this up, my intuition tells me that this allows the the stones to put a sharper edge on the blade). I have never been able to achieve the results shown on the videos of this sharpener being used on youtube. I got the best results with the best steel - an ESEE Izula in Damascus steel. With other steels, going from the Fine to the Ultra fine only dulled the edge. With some steels, going from the medium coarse (the dark brown stones) to the Fine dulled the edge. I don't know why this could be happening.I used the 30 degree setting on the Sharpmaker for the Izula although ESEE says the correct sharpening angle for the Izula is 20 degrees. That's the main problem with the Sharpmaker; the number of correct sharpening angles for knives is much greater than just two. Only problem is to get the exact sharpening angles, you have to go with the Wicked Edge Pro Pack I or II, and the II is $749.00.

Question 3

In the description it say "rods" as in 2.  But the picture it shows only 1.  My spyderco needs 2 rods.  Which is it?  Thanks

Oddly enough,  these rods are sold individually. You need to buy 2 unless you intend to use it like a strop.  Funny thing is, the diamond rods are sold in pairs.  You should need only one  diamond rod (profile one side at a time) .  Hope this helps.
