Does what it says in the ad.
This tool is very basic but does the job perfectly. No more skewed ribbons or damaged connectors. Brilliant.

Doesn't do the job properly.
Not good. The tool does not apply even pressure over the idc connectors so most of the time only one side clicks into place, if you then try to position it so just that unclicked in side gets pressure it pushes out the other side. Basically a useless product.

I purchased this item to assist me in making my own data cable for my 3D printer. I was buying the replacement cable from the manufacturer and had to wait for it to arrive. After purchasing this tool along with the wire and connector ends, I can make many cables without having to wait and at a much lower cost than trying to find the pre-made cable. This tool is very easy to use and works exactly as described. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to create their own computer type connector cables.
