I am not going to lie... I didn't think this was going to work. But when I was looking at the price of automated cleaners ($800 or more) vs. the price of this, I thought I would give it a shot. When I received it, I thought something would go wrong (damaging the record more, wouldn't make significant difference, would require additional $$$ for cleaners... whatever). Man was I wrong!!!! I generally don't write product reviews, but this deserves it. Yes it's manual, but it works. This device has transformed records I thought were beyond repair and returned them to life. It's not a magic wand. If you have records with damage, scratches etc it doesn't fix those, nor should we expect it to. But if your LP's are in good physical shape, this thing will remove impacted dust and make them sound like new again. I'll repeat, I didn't expect it to work, but I was 100% wrong. Would recommend to anyone looking to restore old records. Happy listening!!!

There is only one review on here from the UK so I thought i'd make it two!! I received the Vinyl Vac yesterday and wasted no time in trying this bad boy out. I used an old turntable and bought a Qualtex wet/dry vac for £40. Unfortunately the hose size doesn't fit the vinyl vac with or without the large attachment so what I did was cut 2.5 inches off the top of one of the extension tubes and used one of the O-rings to create a snug fit. I got a real dirty 12" single which I bought years from the bargain bin of a second hand record shop and coated it with a vinyl cleaner, left on for a few minutes and proceeded to switch on the vac and as stated by another reviewer, it literally sucked up the record. I guess that's what the suction reducer is for then. After inserting the reducer I proceeded once again to clean the record. The results were amazing. This went from a bad sounding record which had crackles louder than the song to a much much more bearable play, to the point where about 2 minutes into the song the crackles were barely audible. Granted most peoples record collection shouldn't be like this bar the odd bargain big/charity shop purchase. So if you're in the UK do not hesitate to buy the Vinyl Vac. With a bit of trial and error and a few tweaks and adjustments this is a complete affordable record cleaning vacuum system. The best "£75 all in" I've probably ever spent.

Bought this to clean my old records and get rid of the surface noise. Worked great, using an old turntable as a platform. Combine this cleaner with great record sleeves and there's no need for an automatic record cleaner. Works great with my small shop vac.

I decided I didn’t want to spend $400-500 on a record cleaning machine like an Okki Nikki even though I am an avid record collector and audiophile. I spent some $$ on my record player so I don’t want to play dirty records and ruin my stylus. For $30 I thought I would give this a try. I already had a small shop vac and purchased an electric powered “lazy Susan” from someone named “Biffy” on eBay. See pics for what the item looks like. It works great with the Vinyl Vac! The Vinyl Vac hooks right up to your shop back and it’s super easy to use. It has a lot of suction and I usually let the record spin twice one way and then twice the other and it is pretty much completely dry. The sound quality is a lot better after using this item. If your records are scratched then there’s only so much you can do but for those swap meet find records that are really dusty and dirty or have fingerprints all over them this device is a lifesaver. I personally use a small amount of Turgeon tall with distilled water to clean my records and then do a distilled water rinse and then use Vinyl Vac. I’m thrilled! I’ve tried many other record cleaning solutions and the lint roller style cleaner and this is by far the easiest to use and the best way to get your records really clean. The device does not damage your records. The pads are very soft. See my video for how I use it. If it’s not working here, go to YouTube and search for Vinyl Vac Review. And it definitely needs to be noted that this company has amazing customer service! I have emailed them twice about replacement parts and they have literally responded in a matter of minutes. When you need to buy replacement pads they are not expensive and they will include a few freebies. Super nice people and a great product! This record collector is done searching for a record cleaner. And no, I was not paid or offered anything for this review!
