The real question is why wouldn't this be in someone's music collection. This album is essential, especially if u call yourself a fan or R&B. Any soul collection is not complete without this masterpiece. It's THAT essential! Looking past the critical acclaim, this album speaks for itself. Here you have an ambitious, risk taking, young Stevie Wonder baring his soul and rewriting the rules of Soul music throughout two discs. Even more shocking, is the lack of filler on this 2 disc set. All of the tracks are great. "Sir Duke" and "I Wish" were the big singles from this album. They both reached #1 on the pops. But the other songs are just as good --if not better-- than those two. The truth is there is SO much variety in this double release. "Village Ghetto Land" is emotionally stirring. I absolutely LOVE "Joy Inside My Tears". It's so moving that I am left in awe every time I hear the song...I must've listened to it several times already. With a release this legendary, you can bet that even the album tracks and non-singles reach a level of classic status and here they do. "Isn't She Lovely", with it's phenomenal harmonica solo is a highlight as is the touching love song "As". These are tracks that were played on the radio and represent Stevie at his best. I could go on & on but I'd be repeating myself and other reviewers. Just like Carole King and "Tapestry", MJ and "Thriller" & Prince with "Dirty Mind" this is an album that reaches near mythic status. ALL the songs are good. The lyrics bend the genre of Pop and reimagine R&B, The vocals are passionate and not overbearing. There is REAL emotion here and this represents everything music should be. "Songs in the Key of Life" represents the epitome of a classic album and its importance and greatness cannot be overstated. 5/5 stars. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite Stevie Wonder album. I’ve been looking for it everywhere. First, I was skeptical because the reviews weren’t really informative. So, I’m here to help others who need a good review. Sound quality is great. It comes with lyrics to every song if you need them. It came very secure and in great/new condition. Plays beautifully. I hope you have the same experience if you decide to purchase.

Though produced in the mid to late ‘70, This CD has an every generation sound and message to world. Correctly labeled, Songs in the Key of Life!!!

As is typical with Bluray Pure Audio this is a great sounding version of this classic album. I bought the vinyl version in the 70's and the CD in the 80's and this Bluray is the best sounding. I would have given it 4.5 stars if possible as there is no multi channel option just various high resolution stereo choices. The two channel options all sound accurate with appropriate dynamic range. Highly recommended. Bluray Pure Audio is becoming my preferred format for Hi-res audio as it offers great sound often at a better price as compared to SACD or DVD-A. Arrived on time.

Este es un disco clasico que para los que gustan de la buena musica de los 70's deben de tener en su coleccion. Es una edicon remasterizada, se escucha muy bien, y ademas cuenta con una buena alineacion de musicos que hacen del trabajo de Stevie Wonder sea unico. El audio se escucha muy claro, ninguna distorcion, un excelente disco y muy buena compra.

Prima di tutto: album spettacolare, fra i migliori di quel periodo e non solo, il periodo classico di Stevie Wonder è imprescindibile, difficile non amarlo anche per chi non è particolarmente vicino ai generi che tocca. Per quanto riguarda la spedizione e l'imballaggio era impeccabile, peccato però che ho dovuto fare un reso poiché il primo disco aveva un difetto gigantesco sul lato A che lo rendeva impossibile da riprodurre. Il difetto è senza ogni dubbio imputabile alla casa discografica e purtroppo accade anche se non dovrebbe. Per fortuna i resi sono sempre più semplici da organizzare e in meno di 24 ore a domicilio ho consegnato il disco difettoso e ricevuto quello nuovo. Ascoltato tutto con attenzione ed ora è esattamente come doveva essere. Amazon ha lavorato bene, per questo dò cinque stelle, l'inconveniente non aveva alcun legame con loro. Nota: il reso era possibile farlo anche mesi dopo, senza alcun costo e potendo comunque avere già la nuova copia. Suggerisco l'acquisto, è molto molto difficile ormai trovare questo album ad un prezzo minore. Va bene che è un triplo (considerando l'EP 33 giro) ma trovarlo quasi sempre vicino ai 70 euro non mi sembra ok. Quindi, in fin dei conti, apprezzo estremamente l'album e Stevie stesso, ovviamente, ma la casa discografica ultimamente spinge i prezzi molto più su di altre, che pure producono grandi dischi. Detto ciò non ho che da consigliarlo, godetevelo lentamente vista la sua durata, potrà essere sempre uno dei migliori nella vostra collezione.

Não importa qual o estilo de música que você prefere, este disco é obrigatório em qualquer coleção. Quem não gostar desse álbum pode arrancar os ouvidos fora!
