should the sharpener angle be15,20 or 30 degrees to sharpen it?

I have owned these knives for many years. 20 degrees is perfect. Some professionals will also agree, inspite what some may read from manufacturer. I use a 20* , wedge on a fine wet stone= pefect everytime on kitchen, boming and chefs knife.

Is this knife okay to use in dishwasher?

All Victorinox Fibrox knives are perfectly safe to wash in the dishwasher. They won't "un-temper," they won't rust, they won't mysteriously get super dull, and if there's any damage (which you really have to concoct a scenario for, like setting a pot down on top of the blade edge), the steel is relatively soft so it'll be a bend rather than a chip.

I toss them in the dishwasher when I feel like it, and wipe off any spots when I take them out. If you want these semi-soft steeled knives sharp on a daily basis, you'll need to get a strop or a good hone or even whetstone(s) and learn how to use it -- these knives take a good edge, but will also dull relatively quickly. The dishwasher doesn't dull them. Using them dulls them.

But, seriously, these are FINE in the dishwasher, as are all moderate hardness stainless steel knives with waterproof handles.

What is the difference between 40520 and the 5.2063.20?

The 40520 is the model number for the bulk packaged knife, while the 47520 is the commercial packaging model number. The 5.2063.20 is the international item number, but is the same 8" Fibrox Chef's Knife. I am extremely left handed, I can't cut things with my right hand at all.  Anybody know if this knife would work for lefties?

This knife has a 'western bevel', meaning it has a semetrical angle on each side. It works the safe for lefties as it does righties. I'm a lefty and use it daily.
