More on that in a minute. For our Christmas gift exchange, I like to give something I would like to get myself, and this little item filled the bill. A lot of people in my wife's family like to go to the river or beach and this water resistant Bluetooth music player seemed like just the ticket. You don't expect huge sound from such a small form factor, but you'd like decent sound that won't get spoiled if it gets wet. This product fits that bill. If you set it on a table, the bass is bigger. That will get lost a bit at the river because it will be dangling from something using the handy loop. At the river, you're not expecting audiophile quality; just something to get tunes into the air while the kids play or you read a book or chat with family and friends. Solid product for that situation. I only knocked off a star because it seemed the sound was not quite as clear as I'd hoped, but no heavy duty complaint. I would definitely buy this product again.Now for the bit of fun. I waited till the last minute to wrap the present for the gift exchange so that I could turn it on. At our house, we put all the presents onto a table and people pick what they want. (There were 21 of us.) Every time someone was about to make their selection, I would play some music from my phone for just a second or two. Every one was freaking out about what it was and where it was coming from. Finally someone found it and discovered it was me doing the prank. They loved it.
