First off Denman makes very good quality products. I've never been disappointed with their brushes. This is a small/thin brush which I purchased planning to use for travel, taking up less space. Its not exactly light in weight but does have a lower take up room profile. The bristles are very stiff, not as much like natural bristles as I'd hoped but turns out that makes for less tangling. I have long, middle back length hair and I'm particular. I use the water only no shampoo hair washing and no products on my hair - ever. I do a partial blow dry when I have to, using this brush on the hair nearest my face. The narrowness allows for an easy curl at the end. The BEST part of this brush is the no tangles part. Anyone who's ever blown out long hair knows the problems of tangling and hair wrapping around the brush making you have to put down the dryer. U know what I'm talking about ladies. This solves that problem. Highly recommend.

I mean, as a 51 year old bloke with short hair, who's suddenly found himself having to learn how to do his eldest daughter's rather complex hairstyle, this isn't something I would have found myself getting excited about! Yet, here I am. And this is a great brush. Recommended by my hairdresser, its way better than the cheap round brush I had before. I didn't expect one round hairbrush to be that much different to another. It is. Its clearly well made, and the materials used under the bristles seem to work really well for keeping hold of the hair, yet not too tightly you can't pull it through. I use this for both blow drying, and with the curlers, and its awesome for both. I mean, my daughter has now lost it, and I'm back with the old one! But if it doesn't turn up soon, I'll be buying another!
