Do you think I could handle this blower?** A: NO, don’t buy this. I am 5’2 108 lbs. and 68 yrs., very determined to do my own yard work. The vac tube makes it impossible for me to handle the weight. As it is now, I have to hold the motor at chest height. There should be a shorter tube attachment option. Blower is no problem. **Q: One of the reviews says that the plug is only two prong and isn't the three prong grounded plug. My long extension cord and probably all long outdoor extension cords are three prong with the ground. Can someone verify if this accepts a three prong grounded extension cord?** A: I didnt understand why it wasnt a 3 prong either... I have an old, like 25 or more yrs old I had to stop using because the plug on it started pulling away from the short wire. (the only weak link in this machine that I encountered) I was going to fix it and found a plug .. but with that stubby end and all the yanking etc right there so close to the machine I decided to just replace the machine. The two prong on the machine wouldnt care if there is an extra hole in the socket plug in .. and if the machine only has 2 prongs I guess it doesnt need 3. **Q: does a power cord come wit it** A: Depending on the specific model you get (note that Amazon is lumping all of Toro's line together here) the answer is "no", and also "You will need a heavy-duty cord". For instance, with the 225+ mph blowers are 12-Amp motors. If you get a 100ft cord for this, you need to at *least* get a 12ga cord, if not a 10ga cord. This is very important because the motor draws a lot of current and having too "thin" of a line means that there will be too much voltage drop on the line (which is very bad for the electric motor of the blower) and the line will heat up (to the point of melting through in spots). Unfortunately Amazon doesn't list the current requirements of these blowers, so I can't speak for the lower-power models, but I would be surprised if you could get by with less than a 12ga 100ft cord for any of them (shorter cords or series of cords can be thinner). **Q: Do they make bags stronger for this product? How much are replaceable bags? Is there a way to instal a metal blade to replace the plastic (shredding)?** A: Don't see how a replaceable bag could work in that it would have to have the ability to allow air flow without releasing too much dust. It is the electric model. It is light and easy to hold in one hand. Very powerful -- it blows away wet leaves and helicopter seed pods like nobody's business! My only complaint is the extension cord does not fit snugly into the motor and has to be held in place. No big deal.
